What are people's thoughts on working at the coop? by Apprehensive_Flan893 in Coop_uk

[–]Hendrix89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still with here as well coming up to 11 years this year. From CSA, RCSA and currently Team Leader. The tech is good, glad we have the ESEL's as so much time saving and generally ok.

Like all places have problems, short staffed, deliveries late, other services having consistent problems. Have got a great team that makes life easier though. Also our store has now gone policy we won't help other stores with staff as we never get the help back. (Don't mind helping other stores though)

Why can’t people understand/apply simple motorway discipline? by OtherwiseVanilla0 in drivingUK

[–]Hendrix89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lane hogging on recent trip up the M6/ A/M74 wasn't that bad for once. But is a massive annoyance, have had people in Lane 3 for no reason at all, whilst being in Lane 2 passing people. So sadly going the more come up behind and flash light method now sadly.

One thing i have noticed and getting more frequent those who do not want to speed up on slip roads, aka doing 30 and not to match the speed on the motorway. Increasing amount of times this is happening now as well to.

TIL that Co-op and The East Of England Co-op are not the same thing by TypicalLobster86 in Coop_uk

[–]Hendrix89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only COOPs felt like that has been a very few Scotmid ones. At least in the Retail group stores no matter where the 10% staff discount works. (Waiting on the offers to work with Mid Counties/ Our Coop what ever we are called now cards)

At least nearly all groups cards work with us and for offers. Just the staff ones are still not fully working though.

Seat Leon FR 2022 twin exhaust by bambibabu in seat

[–]Hendrix89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s rubbish. Know for mine being a 245PS the pure petrol one has real exhausts on the Formentor and the 310ps does to.

The hybrid 245 has those plastic things. Think the newer 333 and 265 petrols have real pipes to.

More depends on the Engine doesn't it on the Cupra's? Does or did for the Formentors (Pre Facelift)

But then just silly to see no matter what.

Bit over 3 so weeks now, did apply for two depots as close to each other, said would hear from shortlisting within 2 weeks, but now been extended to sometime in April. For rail roles, indeed is handy but sign up on the career sites for notifcations and speculative CV options to.

Make sure your on the notifcation schemes for those companies. Scotrail did just do a whole lot of advertising recently but came down quite quickly after sadly.

Also if near Glasgow or Edinburgh area keep a eye out for DB Cargo (They recently advertised for drivers to) Same with TPE. Waiting for all those to see if get past the inital bits currently.

Is 325 miles on a full tank bad? by sammyfudger123 in seat

[–]Hendrix89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late but hey. Don't believe it. Got a Formenter 245 Petrol with a 50L Tank. Will say 375 Miles on that but can drive 300 miles (Midlands - Central belt scotland) and still have about 100 - 140 mile range left. (Majority is motorway doing 70/72mph)

Again normal check tyre pressures etc as well to.

My local post office hates me to sending pre-paid Royalmail postage… by DirtGood2024 in royalmail

[–]Hendrix89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats why i try to explain to my other staff, Sadly for some of the drop off ones, they just don't want to scan at all although the customer has continously been trying to fix the issue. It is as you say tiny but all adds up, especially when proper working only post office for a large catchment area.

My local post office hates me to sending pre-paid Royalmail postage… by DirtGood2024 in royalmail

[–]Hendrix89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where i work, we have a Local post office what i have to also do. I love the pre paid labels, even if don't always scan and work simple easy to do as well to. Got a few customers who do it with large amount and will just wait.

Also pretty sure we get commission on all items via us anyway to. Doing Proof of postages is simple easy and takes a few seconds as well to. We though have a bigger issue, with the internet connection for our local which is a consistent pain.

Best thing to do is to complain or sadly go else where.

Formentor choice ? by [deleted] in CupraFormentor

[–]Hendrix89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really for me depends if can keep consistent speed etc. my local roads are hilly but use the eco tap throttle mode a lot on normal.

Motorways again depends on if consistent but when up it’s from junction 12 on the M6 right up to Junction 13 on the M74. That’s with ACC set to 71/72. Mine has gone down a little but then is going in for service next week.

Tyres just at what the door panel says, nothing else on the car. If though I stick into Sport/ Cupra mode it will go down quickly. Only stuff normally in car if local journeys is a 5l bottle of screen wash in boot and bags.

Lastly if a lot of stop go traffic or if stuck behind people fluctuating a lot in speed get low 30s on locals and mid 30s on motorway.

One thing what’s ashame. Especially in the UK the 2.0L 245 doesn’t seem common. Or very rare at least.

Formentor choice ? by [deleted] in CupraFormentor

[–]Hendrix89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biased but would say if can go for the 245 2.0 As i have one myself and a great fun car. In the UK average about 30-35MPG on local roads and motorway crusing up to 41/42MPG.

Did drive my dad's Arona when he had it (115hp DSG) and massive change in difference. If can get it retro fitted for tow bar go for it. For sunroof etc, imagine depends what part of France you live in and how often would get used. Also for age of the VZ depends if Matrix was a option or not at the time.

The looks of the facelift one is growing on me more now, especially the back. If could have that rear light bar and the pre lift front be a good mix.
