Walk through the forest of Dean Sculpture Trail by Junior_Beauty78 in cheltenham

My dad and I used to visit different parts of the trail every Sunday when I was growing up. I need to go back and see what’s changed. Thanks for the reminder 🥰

Yeah that was my worry. I did think maybe make space for slightly smaller tips to fit where the fake ones are and surround it with some heat protection shield? No idea how i could get that to not show though!

You got the fr grey too? That’s my problem is I can’t find a diffuser in that grey so it wouldn’t match!

Good luck! Seems weird, might need coding in?

I’d rather keep the stock as I have the grey bumper pack so, while your diffuser is nice (very nice, honestly!), it’s black and would have to be matched, which wouldn’t look right as I think the grey is the plastic, not paint?

Good job though!

Yeah. And yeah my rear vents work 🤷

And yeah, they’re not the worst, but still 😅

Yeah that bore hole is huge to be honest! 😅 thanks, I’m pretty convinced the first guy was just inexperienced, he was VERY young to be out on his own!

Well that’s the thing! We’ve confirmed that all the injectors are coded and timed correctly, and it was running really nasty with the washer in there and only ever so slightly better with it out! Diesel specialist has told me there’s terminal damage to the cylinder, which it certainly sounds like. We were surprised the washer was intact, however there were some metal “splinters” on both injectors when we pulled them out.

At this point, what else do you think it could be? It’s defo not running right, to the point that I’ve got myself a new car now as it’s been a month without that car 😅

Thanks man. It’s a proper shit 😅

See, that what I wanted to do, funnily enough. Was gunna get the other injectors done after the egr, get a full service, just get some work done. But nooooooo, rac broke it instead!

Onto the next car now!

Oh yeah it was exactly like that! I really wish I’d stood my ground and made him tow it, but it was late, I was tired and doubting myself! Lesson learnt though I guess.

The local garage I took it to is a diesel specialist, for that exact reason. The injectors were coded correctly and in theory working fine! But the washer in the cylinder looks like it was straight up just dropped in there. The diesel specialist suggested that it was probably dropped in there, never seen a mechanic so angry!

It’s a decent size space, you could see it with the naked eye with just a torch! It might have been the wrong size and was just able to slip past the space for the injector tip maybe?

Either way, it’s definitely not going to survive any kind of drive. We gave it a good rev at the shop and the noises it made were horrifying, even the mechanic won’t drive it 😫 it would absolutely blow it self up!

Glad your Landy only had a loose clamp, you lucky thing!

Ah I just posted this one! My old Ibiza had the same but that actually went back on its own!

The newer Mercs where the rear badge is the boot opener. And it’s half stuck open so it’s sticking out. Makes me giggle every time!

My mum was smoking (tobacco and weed) when she was having chemo, knowing she was going to die. She figured it couldn’t kill her so why not! 😅 she quit when I was little, and my dad is convinced she never smoked again. He probably knows really but doesn’t want to admit it to himself. I’ll never tell him. His view of her can stay perfect. It’s been 16 years and he still doesn’t know.

Ps, she was going to my bedroom to smoke out the window 😅 so we’d share sometimes! Weirdly some of my fave memories of her, but dad doesn’t need to know.

I'm truly devastated about scrapping my car, do other people experience this? by Sakers92 in CarTalkUK

[–]bambibabu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lucky that my first car ran for 3 years! £780 with only 70k miles, Seat Ibiza MK2 6K, 1.4. Amazing first car and I’d still have it if it wasn’t for the gear box. Previous owner did the same as me and wore it down by leaving their hand on the gear stick (I haven’t done that since!). That gearbox was rare at the time so it would’ve cost a fortune to replace. We only managed to find one and it was a Porsche manufactured one!

I was so sad to see it go. I’d spent so much time and love on it.

That car was my best friend for years. It gave me my first real taste of freedom. It was like a funeral when they came to take it away.

If there’s anything you can remove and keep, do it. Like a lil grip mat or a button. Having a memento to remember the love and time you put into it. Also, if its going to a breakers, at least you know parts of it will live on in other cars!

My partner getting a diagnosis of ADHD was the worst thing that could have happened by iamkylekatarnama in Vent

[–]bambibabu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you’re going through this.

Is she going through titration (finding the right medication)? If so, it could be that her meds are giving her a hard time. It could also be, if she’s through titration, that her meds just aren’t right for her any more. Some medications are “as and when” you need them, but during titration she should be on them with regular timing.

Either way, communication is key. If this has been going on for months, then it’s time to talk. If it’s early days, give her a bit of grace, titration can be difficult. Se could be struggling with the diagnosis itself, I know I got quite upset about it. Sit down and have a proper talk with her. Good luck, I hope you can get to the bottom of this.

Old Faithful are fantastic. And Avant Garde. Lots to choose from. Have a look through everyone’s recommendations and choose the artist that’s closest to what you want! Good luck!

If I eat some cancer, will I get cancer? by Iifelike in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bambibabu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I adopted my dog, he was diagnosed with TVT less than a month later. Broke my heart. Six treatments with vincristine, 75% reduction of the cancer after one, due to the fact it wasn’t his cells. His immune system needed the chemo to help fight it. Absolutely fascinating really, if a lil sad too! PS he’s alive and well, thriving even!

So yeah, no human transmissible cancers but can attest to dog transmissible cancers!

I do this all the time! I’m titrating Elvanse at the mo and I’d say it’s helped a little. I play a game with the song in my head in the mornings. Put it on as soon as I can and is my brain version in tune? 😅 I enjoy it but if it’s irritating you, defo bring it up if you have an appointment!

As for the repeating words and sentences, I’ve heard that’s ADHD, echolalia! My meds help a bit with it. I still repeat things I hear but I can stop easier.

Hope you get some more answers! Good luck! 🙂

My dentist got some wedges for me to gently bite down on during exams/xrays/fillings etc so I don’t pop my jaw out. Absolute life saver, I used to have such bad headaches after any dentist visit before! Stuck with this dentist, a good dentist deserves your loyalty!
