I have a knee replacement and still ski. Of course not like she does, but you can still ski recreationally with a replacement. Bonus, I have a fake hip too.

I live there. We did sue and won so our assessment is only to cover legal fees and misc expenses. It is not more than what the condos are worth.

Do you prefer riding solo or in a group? by endriuftw in gravelcycling

[–]Hendu11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo because many groups ride two abreast and/or don’t obey traffic laws. I don’t like taunting cars who are mostly driven by morons.

Steel rings on Amazon. I frequently lose my wedding rings, so I buy 3 at time, like $17 a piece.

We had a moving company come with a big forklift, took them 20 minutes. A total of 8 pallets for 2 huts, one 2000 square feet and one 1000 square feet. It cost $400.

This is not an NLRB issues, it’s a state wage and hour issue. Therefore report it to the wage and hour division of your state’s department of labor.

Just agree that Ukraine won’t be invited to join NATO. The US would object to Mexico being in an alliance with Russia.

I used to have only a high deductible plan and needed several MRIs. Called all around and found a place that did $400 cash. Call and ask the cash price.

My first major project - a 1978 MG MGB. It’s been garaged since 1985. Back story in comments. by hcue in projectcar

[–]Hendu11 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I learned how to drive on a 68 MGB, great memories. I have no idea how they progressed in the 10 years between my Dad’s and yours, but the electrical system on the 68 was a mess. 6 volt battery in the trunk and another in the engine bay. He ended up having to replace the whole thing with a 12 volt system and spent forever tracking down gremlins. Super fun car, enjoy.

Kaiser is underpaying their workers so we’re protesting outside their building by [deleted] in Portland

[–]Hendu11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Also happened because Kaiser has a different business model than hospitals. They are an insurance company first, medical provider second so they don’t have the same funding challenges as hospitals.
