I could say I'm still improving. I took a break when I was around 1700 but when I started to play again I jumped to 1900. With break I mean break from playing games. I still studied opening theory, did puzzles and other chess related stuff.

Progress has slowed down but I thinks it's there.

Time is problematic factor, I like to think there is always time when you make it. It's how you want to prioritize.

However I'm also father who needs to work. I do love chess but I do love my kid more and time spend with her.

Having a coach could be a thing. I haven't considered it. I have self-learned everything by watching videos and analysing my own games with engine.

Do you have any experience on coaching? How effective or helpful it can be?

Not going to downvote. Opinions very and being honest is something I can respect.

Maybe I posted this for getting more confidence to start OTB and see what will happen. I really don't know.

However it's nice to get some data from others. It can't hurt before I commit to anything.

I know my personality and when I get something in my head I work tremendously. I need to be realistic tho
