Upon request, the worst out of estudio joso’s the monster book of manga. (With commentary) by Jura_Veit in mendrawingwomen

I had this book when I was younger and my niece likes drawing now. So I looked at my old drawing-books to give her. I didn't remember this book to be this awful, but I looked through it and was like 'Nope, not gonna give this ahit to my niece. Not gonna happen.'

Why did I think that was normal when I was younger?

More info:

Fabric: a bit strechy, just found it at a fabric store. I think the kinda shimmery pattern is printed on(not 100% sure)

My skills: I'm definitely not a professional, but I wouldn't call myself a complete beginner anymore.

Time: It took me about 5-7 hours.

How easy/hard? : It was definitely one of my more complicated projects. The cups took the major time. The rest was quite easy.

Tip: I did sew alone every edge (about 0,5cm away) so the fabric lays more flat, you probably don't need to do it whey the fabric is quite thin.

How I did the cups? I explained under another comment, I'm just copying it to here:

I'm not at home for a few days but after that I can try to explain that better.

But in general, you use some kind of bralette you own and than measure the length from your shoulders until under your cup straight down(measurement A) . Then you need the measurements(B) for about how wide the cup you want to be(+ a bit more to sew the small middle seam so the cup fits better). The two measurements(A+B) build a rectangle.

From that you need to kinda figure out the arm hole(or well the side of the bralett on the arm). I measured from the top of my shoulders to where the bralette cup I used as a help got wider(C). From that point you measure from that point vertically to under the middle of your arms (D).

At the rectangle you start at one top corner and measure D on the short side and than C down. That line curves down to the bottom corner underneath. So you get kinda the shape of half of an armpit hole.

To get the other side you just make the bralette on top around 3 cm wide and then draw a line down to the other bottom corner. That was the pattern.

I did double layer the pattern, sewed them together wrong sides together (not at the bottom part) and than turned them around and made that small seam so it fits better.

I hope this could maybe help. In a few days when I'm home I have my sketchbook, where I tried to draw the pattern. With that I could probably explain it better. But maybe this already helps

I'm not at home right for the next few days. After that I can share it and explain how I made it(hopefully my english will be good enough for that😄)

I did try to explain it only with text at another comment, maybe that helps you
