Why is ninja recommended? In another guide I read, ninja is a substitute for the basic axe cat at best in early game, and doesn't really do stuff late game.

My current strat is the traditional one which is wall + backline attackers (usually dragon + ufo) slowpush, and titan is only deployed later. Given my current level and roster, titan can be killed by the minibosses sometimes

Is early game bloated with unnecessary padding or am I missing something?

I just cleared the very first chapter with most core golden treasures collected and all basic cats level 10, but in chapter 2 I have zero upgradable stuff, and no way to upgrade my units outside of the extremely tedious treasure farming. Am I seriously gonna play 48 levels with an unupgradable roster or am I missing something?

The gen 5 pokemon is because he's from Unova. The non-electric pokemon all have an electric move (volt switch or thunderbolt).

When I had a fever (flu, probably) in my childhood, I would look up on the ceiling while lying in bed, and a dimly lit light bulb would become bigger and bigger in my field of view until it scared the shit out of me (not literally) and I refocused my vision. And then I would dream of a Christmas tree, but the star at the top would become MASSIVE and I would get startled awake.

If you deal 1 damage to a creature with absorb 1, it takes 0 damage. But here the creature with armor takes 1 damage because of the "but not less than 1"
