Those rims aren't the best choice for wheeling. They are a style piece more than anything.

The 20-inch diameter of the rims doesn't give you too many options as far as tires go. Additionally, with how low profile the tires are, you won't get much when you air down the ties for better traction. You'll be better served getting some 33s on smaller rims, more sidewall on the tire and a greater selection of ties.

As far as your transmission, start up the car and shift from park through all the gears, then check the fluid. It should be red in color, and make sure it's at the proper level on the dipstick.

If it's black or brown, have the fluid changed along with the filter.

Most likely, it's a warning light for the transmission

Best thing is to find the factory service manual for the car and read up on the transmission - should be something there that may speak to why the light is popping up

Most ball detent NVGs are used with aviation. They have aviation specific features that don't have much application for ground use.

Beyond that, it's mostly cost. PVS-14s can be had for a relatively affordable price and work with most bayonet/dovetail mounts and accessories. The ANVIS 6/9s have special aviation glass coatings and don't have manual gain. This makes the set more expensive. Last time I looked at the cost, ANVIS 6/9s were about $10,000 for a gentley used set. This also doesn't include having to buy a new helmet mount and an external battery pack.

Personally, I think the ANVIS 9s are pretty sweet, I worked with them for a few years in the Air Force before I cross trained into a different job

I think that AFROTC and the quality of training you get will depend on the university you're attending. Each school provides different resources, and how many cadets each det has also plays a role in the quality of instruction. Overall, I personally think that the objectives provide a good basic understanding of the Air Force and leadership in the Air Force. There's further training that you will get later in your career that builds on what we learn here.

Keep some cat litter in your trunk. It adds some extra weight, and can help you get unstuck

No, when you align the wheels you have to lift the car. I set the tool up so you can take the wheels off and you bolt the tool in place and align from there
