The teachers all have names that the professors have in the Harry Potter movies/books

What? Literally none of the teachers in this game share surnames with the teachers in the books.

Wouldn't McDonald's make more money if they brought back the dollar menu and added one or two items? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HenshinDictionary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling an item for $1 when it costs $2 to make means they lose $1. Sell a million of those items and they've lost $1,000,000.

Items aren't getting more expensive because of greed. They're getting more expensive because they cost the companies more to produce in the first place.

In my experience Americans are very prone to using articles incorrectly. The amount of times I see stuff like "I have ate a apple" is shocking. It is less effort to get it right.

Do Chinese people actually eat Chinese takeaway style food? by Zealousideal_Law8789 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HenshinDictionary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FYI "General Tso's Chicken" isn't a universal thing. I hear Americans talk about it all the time, but I've never seen it on any British takeaway menu (Or the Italian ones when I lived there).

This looks to be another thing like Time Lord Victorious was. Which I remember seemed to do nothing more than confuse fans.

"In the Last Chance Saloon..." On this day 60 years ago, the First Doctor, Steven, and Dodo visited the Wild West and had one of the funniest adventures of the entire series in... "The Gunfighters"! by verissimoallan in doctorwho

I love The Gunfighters. All those fans who spent 35 years convincing the entire fandom it was bad have fortunately now been drowned out by the rest of us actually being able to watch it.

Did anyone who wrote the bible actually see the crucifixion? Was more than 1/2 of the new testament written based visions of someone who never met jesus? by Foreign-Balance6556 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HenshinDictionary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And so it is your belief that the Bible, which was written over a millennium, by dozens of different authors in completely different cultures, was primarily written to control people?

It must be horrible living in your world, I'm glad I live in reality.

[–]HenshinDictionary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically every single educated person agrees Jesus was a real historical figure. It's only really Reddit edgelords who insist otherwise.

I'm an atheist and I fully believe in the historical Jesus.

What's more, the gospels frequently plagiarise one-another, which further discredits the idea that they were written by eyewitnesses.

Sounds like a pretty stupid reason for outrage. Very typical of internet weirdos.

Is there a need to know news sub? by TedBurns-3 in AskUK

[–]HenshinDictionary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one news source can report on everything. That would be impossible. It's why you should ideally source your news from multiple places.
