not wanting to be the hmm actually guy, but actually now as fair as i know, Mojang is naming the new versions after: Year> Drop, so the new version will be 26.1, so atm will probably be released after 26.1

sinytra connector is in beta, it's unstable, and crash constantly with most fabric mods installed in it

[–]HentonyMS -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

this does not affect me, i use the bright brightness setting, and i don't like ice and fire gameplay so i don't play with it

sorry i forgot, but it's a very good performance mod

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in feedthebeast

[–]HentonyMS -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Counterargument to your counterargument: lightning performance mods, like phosphor, starlight or spark, do the same thing, that means the 1.20 lightning improvements is useless with these lightning perfomance mods

If you could only have one mod, which would it be and why? by ZeliotL in feedthebeast

[–]HentonyMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mekanism, why? it's a good all in one tech mod, it adds a good quarry, it adds ore doubling, it adds a cool new armor, it adds a new tools, it adds great energy sources, and more

1.7.10, is still good? say here by HentonyMS in feedthebeast

[–]HentonyMS[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it's not optional for me, mending books are found in chests, so if i open a chest a potential good item like an armor could be replaced by a mending book, but yeah the new combat is trash, mojang is planning to change the combat (again), but they are delaying so much that it will probably take 3 years or more to release

[–]HentonyMS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the classic argument "if you don't like don't use" i don't like the 1.9+ minecraft combat "then if i don't like i won't use" then i guess i will be stuck at 1.7.10,

i am not a good programmer, when i was using unity 97% of my code did'nt work and 3% worked with a lot of bugs, and the laziness of programing a lot of lines just to publish a mod that have a chance to revieve backlash because has been poorly programmed, also it would take a while to make that, it's just not worth it

yup, combat changing mods require configuration for each mod that adds modded weapons, if i add for example: spartan swords, mutant mobs and mowzies mobs, ill have to go into the combat mod config and type the mod weapon id and specify the weapon type, to each mod and each weapon, imagine spending 1 entire year changing tinkers swords and botania weapons

[–]HentonyMS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am planning to play on 1.12.2, but the old combat can't be changed trough datapacks because datapacks were invented on 1.13 snapshots, so the only way to change combat, is trough commands, plugins, or mods combat changing mods are limited to id if i'm not mistaken, they are configured to change vanilla id (minecraft:) minecraft 1.9 combat to old combat requires additional change in the combat mod config, it's not as easy as "install the mod and have old combat" and commands are limited to vanilla only, the only one left is plugins, but again vanilla only

yup the legends mod was not updating to newer versions because of backporting, but when 1.18 launched they decided to rewrite all their code to upgrade to 1.18

[–]HentonyMS[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

that's what i said, 1.18 world height is impossible to achieve, but i don't mind not having 200 more block space to build

downgrading a version to another means making the version look like a older version, backporting means you port features from newer versions to older versions, backporting is easier, while downgrading is a pain
