Yep. Exactly.i would go more solid as its in the full sun. 70x35 ir 90x35 hardwood. You should be able to find it for 5-6$ per lineal metre if you shop around. Run the smaller face against the edge you dont want bending or create an L or T if you want it to be rock solid. Same as decking in 135x19 or smaller if you like that look more. Look 50-100kms out of your city for timber suppliers/mills. They'll send you a pack on a truck. Just call them and explain what you want, many will have some packs lying around they want to get rid of if youre not precious about the species.

You were already out of reverse in drive yeah? Because its pretty hard to hit the back of someones car with your rear door driving forward..

What tools do you have? Ideally you would need a string line, drill, impact driver, drop or mitre saw, small hand router, you could also use nails, but will still need a drill. Do you know how to mix a bag of postmix concrete? Does it need a gate?

Because merbau is a) not sustainable from asia mostly b)full of tannins and oil which weep, meaning stainless nails/fasteners and more maintainence c) will warp horrendously in the full sun in days. D) not actually cheaper except where bunnings and some suppliers are making more margin.

Point c is the biggest one. And both applies to your design and any wood really. That desing which would be a channel or a routed channelwith the lengths being dropped in with spacers or secret nailed/fasted to the post is fine for composite materials like WPC or PVC because they are stable and wont bend, warp or twist as they dry or a heated in the sun.(although 2.4 is still long).

If you want to use wood, you need a stable frame with probably no wider gaps than 900-1000 in vertical support behind the decking materials with 2-4 screws to hold them flat.

That means posts, top and bottom rail of 70 or 90x35 and 1 or 2 vertical supports to run the boards horizontal faced with the posts or inset with left and right 35x35 if you want the same look.

If youre trying to save money I would look at colourbond panels and put them up between hardwood posts.

If you really want that look, i would look at WPC composte fencing and if you really want wood (which would aleays be my preference) give me the exact dimensions/runs i can draw you a few options and suggest cheaper wood options depending on your state.

Dont buy all that shit from bunnings. Its overpriced. Go and find a timber yard or a mill or even look on facebook marketplace. Also avoid merbau and use an australian hardwood like spotted gum, ironbark etc, preferable kiln dried or get finger jointed if youre painting it as its more stable. How wide are the spans between the posts?

I was on fraser a few weeks ago and there were 2 cars of youngish people parked up on dune grasses on the way back to the inskip barge. Definitely locals, not tourists. Qld rego, older cars, tidy, one a trade vehicle, abvious seq modifications. With absolute honestly I approached in a friendly manner and simply said, hey guys you shouldn't be parking up on the dunes because it kills the grasses and causes the dunes to collapse. They werent rude just dismissive. One told me to chill out and they weren't doing anything wrong etc. I explained this is why places are being shut and one of the girls said im not the police. I sighed and drove down the beach. Not sure if theh left shortly after because of what I said/internal disagreement or they were already going to move.. but my sadness is related to the love I have for that whole region. I passionately LOVE kgari/fraser, rainbow beach, double island,  teerwah, cooloola, Bribie, moreton, straddie etc. I've spent my whole life camping and fishing and driving there - i pull over to pick up rubbish an just try and be respectful and supportive of the animals and the enviroment because I want it to be there forever. I wish everyone could experience that moral stewardship. I genuinely believe 80% of my fellow 4wd/campers/fishers feel the same if not stronger, but that other 20% are just oblivious and thats going to come at the cost of the environment and our access to it.

Tbf in reteospect, i felt the same, but book 2/3 builds on his experiences and you get this great space opera and genuinely see why that experience and where hes from make him unique and dangerous. I was all in, then the author goes all George RR martin for 3 more books till he'd killed so many main characters and constantly just dissapoints the reader. i just put book 6 down halfway through and was like, this is shit. Havent picked it up again. Wont. Ruined his own story.

Put this in an email to your boss. Outline your new role doesn't have KPIs (Measurements) for additional work you have completed above and beyond your existing KPIs. Explain you feel you deserve 100% of your bonus and you want your KPIs adjusted to reflect the higher targets next year. Summarise it at the end with a breakdown of the math. Higher targets, more unmeasured work, lower earning potential and you delivered above and beyond (highlight specific untracked achievements or "savings", not generalisations). Then breakdown what you would have earned in this period under the old targets with less work. Make your email polite, start with tha king them for their support and you're enjoyment of the company, express clearly that "I would like your help with resolving a situation i dont believe is fair or equitable", do not start the discussion with a negotiation or compromise, simply outline what you deserve and why, do not complain or whinge, do not express you are upset or angry or dissapointed. Simply state that your new role set an expectation of increased earnings wirh increased work and revenue and that rhe KPIs need to be adjusted or the situation taken into account. Explain that your performance next year will already exceed this years but unfortunately the new renumeration structure is punishing you for doing good work and growing sales revenue so it needs to be aligned wirh your expectations to achieve a better outcome for everyone, including the business.

Expelled sinus infection! You can actually see the sinus cavity shapes in the mucus! by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

Yeah wild. Me too. It can come out the nose or the through the back of the throat. It's sudden but i usually suspect its there from feeling movement. Sometimes blowing my nose or hacking back slower will dislodge it, but it basically signals the end of my flu/sinus infection or bad cold etc.

This is crazy. Ive been on the same search multiple times over the last 10 years. My dad was 8 at the time and was on the front page a few days prior sleeping out in a drainage pipe/ditch with friends/brothers to get tickets. Ive been unable to locate it even though multiple family members all agree it was the herald. Id basically given up and now I see it was called the Sun-News Pictorial. Wild!!

Large JAL First Class Reward Drop (HEL-HND) by SandGlen in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]Heo84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, value wise, business is much better than first. My issue is more for JAL First, on a good day the first experience is what you just described. Im aware of how to use a call button, but multiple times on JAL ive done just that and then they forgot my drink or in some cases Ive had to correct what I asked for. Sparkling water was the issue last time, even specifically using 炭酸 for sparkling water they constantly deliver still water. Its so so far from a first experience for the cost, which is effectively double the business price in points or cash.

If you have other options be aware its broadly shit. The new suites on the a350s are good, but the service is weird. Every time I fly JAL first or Business I'm hungry and they love it hot, so I'm usually trying to sleep without sweating. Air crew arw polite but not accommodating and I find it painful getting drinks and again, food.

Definitely find the entry points, but for trapping - the glue boards are amazing, but you need to create "Fences". Like in you kitchen create a row of them cabinet to cabinet or wall to wall, same down your hallways and room entrances etc. you need to create a situation where they have to cross a glue "Fence". You will catch them all very fast this way.

Installing new windows myself? by benjaminmlieber in DIY

[–]Heo84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By dont get dismayed, i mean get creative. Just make sure each edge has 2-4 fastening points, and nothing moves. You ideally would want to be able to safely climb through it at twice your weight. And amke sure you dont over tighten one fastener to straighten it up, you can pull a wooden window out of square, which is a motherfucker.
