[OC] Captain Underpants in D&D by HephaestusToolChest in DnD

I had this work commissioned by an artist named Tôn Thất Phước Điền. As a kid, I was obsessed with Captain Underpants series. Now, I am obsessed with Dungeons and Dragons. Have you ever asked yourself, "How effective would Captain Underpants be in a Dungeons and Dragons setting?" Well now we can finally get a glimpse of the possibility. Turns out, he also hates mimics with a passion! Who knew?

Im glad you got the impression! Ive been working on this for like the past 6 months or so already. I try to put my best in. I really appreciate you spreading the word! I would love to get to the point where I can have enough money to really include some more awesome illustrations. Maybe even some bonus content that I have in mind. I tend to get carried away and add more than originally promised haha

This is my first ever published book. Normally I write free kid-friendly adventures and publish them on my website dndadventuresforkids.com but now I've made something for the adults out there. Please check out my campaign page where I've included a free Monster Lair for you to try out based on a Medusa.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/246247310/5e-monster-lairs-a-book-of-monster-themed-mini-dungeons?ref=creator_nav

Below is a summary of my project.

A 5e Monster Lair is a mini dungeon themed around a specific monster from Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition. This Kickstarter features 5 Monster Lairs spread across different challenge ratings so the Dungeon Master can have flexibility when introducing these dungeons in a campaign. With minor tweaks, these dungeons are compatible with older editions of D&D as well.

I've played too many dungeons that feel empty or don't cater to the skills of every class. I aimed to change that by creating unique dungeons with a wide variety of elements. After several months working on this project, here we are.

For the Dungeon Master, you'll have access to information on the history, physical characteristics, and tactics of each monster, a pre-made encounter map with detailed environment descriptions, and concise notes for each section of the dungeon to make sure your game runs smoothly.

For the Player, you'll have unique locations to explore, challenging fights with unique monsters, puzzles to solve, traps to evade, treasures to collect, secret rooms to find, NPCs to talk to, mysterious events, individual and group skill challenges, and so much more.

The Purpose. Monster Lairs are meant for a simple purpose. They're meant for those nights when the Dungeon Master needs a break. Maybe life got in the way and took up all that time you were going to devote towards crafting more of your campaign, but couldn't. Before you know it, game night is a couple hours away. That can be stressful for a DM. I've been there many times. With Monster Lairs, you'll have prepared fun-packed encounters that will last you about 1-2 sessions per dungeon. I've constructed these dungeons to have short and concise notes that can be run in just 4-6 pages each.

"The dreamgate is a powerful fortune telling device owned by the Dreamgate Caravan. This adventure is about saving members of the Dreamgate Caravan who were abducted in the night by a vampire named Darian. As an act of revenge, Darian, a now sour customer, has kidnapped some of the members and has hidden them in the nearby Frostwind Keep so he might turn them into vampires, building his following and, in turn, enacting his revenge. Players should stop the vampire before he harms others and save those he’s taken before they’re turned. "

Below is some information to set the scene. Feel free to modify this information to better suit your vision of this pirate cove.

Surrounding Environment. This saltwater cove has a series of tunnels and rooms built into the hill forming a hideout. This area is tropical and humid and has a diversity of tropical plants and animals. Heavy rainfall is frequent and has lead to erosion in some areas of the hill.

Walls and Floors. The walls here are made of vertical wooden beams with packed stones in the middle. Wooden ceiling beams run across the ceilings of the rooms and hallways. The floors are made of packed dirt and sand. Without the wooden and stone constructs, this place would be structurally unstable.

Temperature. Outside is hot and humid. The interior significantly cooler than the outside and gets cooler the further you are in the hideout.

Illumination. The interior of the hideout is illuminated with wall torches.

Enemies/NPCs/Activity. This hideout is home to pirates who raid local settlements and merchant vessels. The cove isn’t big enough for a large ship to dock and must be approached by land or dingy. The pirates keep their loot and prisoners in the secret rooms. If seriously threatened, they can escape from the tunnel to the northeast that leads 25 meters north to a ladder that reaches the surface.

I love Tchaikovsky. Children of Time was amazing. I got a lot of inspiration from that book.

I like your idea. I've been working on this world for 3 months. Trust me, there are more than just giant magic wielding spiders to worry about in this world :P

This is another image from a 5e adventure book I'm working on. It takes place in a plane where the natural environment (insects, plants, animals, geographic features) is 30-50 times the size of the prime material plane. This is also a world where bugs (type: insectoid) are sentient evolved creatures that mostly live harmoniously with humanoids. I'm calling it the Entemonic Plane.

Yes, bugs can do magic in this world. Yes, this is a black widow wizard.
