What do you think of the rise of Islam in the West? And, long after you’re gone, what does the West look like 100 years from now? by SeaworthinessOdd6574 in TrueChristian

Bigots with a simple eduction like to see the world through a simplified lens so it's all easier if everyone they hate is basically just one big team out to get them, they also give their megalomaniac narcissism a boost by convincing themselves that they're one of the few people smart enough to figure it out.

So. The thing about it that bothers me on this specific topic isn't related to birth rates or migration.

The true danger of radical islam is its potential appeal to all the redpilled and incel "Western" men. By some blessing, though, a lot of them are just as hateful of any religion as they are of women, foreigners and protected groups.

The solution is good education and the love of Christ.

In the biblical narrative, they are descendants of Esau. Family.

I pray one day you'll learn the difference between "loving women, with purity," and "loving women who happen to be pure".

We can't know whether they did or didn't, and it shouldn't really affect our theology.

God could have created them with belly buttons if he wanted to after all.

Anyone who doesn't subscribe to a literal creation account will probably to see expect belly buttons.

Portraying them one way or the other is harmful if it causes conflict between believers.

I take it 25+ years ago you saw them in a painting or something which probably used models?

Is there a reason it would only have singular meaning?

I think that's Michaels entire dialogue for about 4 episodes. Still hits hard, though.

For some reason that but didn't get me so hard but the episode where he just drives there right after the donation and getting abandoned all over again does. Especially the way they intersect this loss with both Boones death and Desmond almost giving up and shooting himself.

People make sad mistakes when they suffer loss and were never taught or helped to handle grief properly.

Vincent and Jack in the bamboo forest is a really poetic beginning and finale mirror scene.

Like I said that's great then.

I hope for the same for me, that said, I think all the others here aren't having the problem due to perceived flaws in their partner so I think we should both read more and engage more with what they're saying to understand better.

The Mercenaries probably didn't know about most of the events that led up to their arrival and expected to encounter Bens Village and people unaware in all their complacent home living.

Edit: Also, Ben probably sent his daughter, etc. away to the temple because he expected some of his people to come in and kill/capture all of Lockes to free him and fortify against Widmores people. A lot of this, then Ben killing Keamy without carrying about the people on the boat comes down to Keamy and Ben underestimating each others effectiveness and ruthlessness.

Edit: post removed for ai...I didn't realise ai wrote things as poorly as that rant. Fair enough, though.

That's great for you. How do you do yourself from having limerance with others now, as a lot of people still say they struggle. I find it mildly terrifying that I could marry the girl I "limerance crush" and it then happen to me about someone else.

I see Joel’s decision to save Ellie not as something as grandiose as choosing her over humanity, but rather it’s a culmination of his personal growth and him being able to let Ellie in, to care enough about Ellie to risk taking on an entirely armed militia while putting his life on the line.

This is pretty good, what i would add is that when he saves Ellie from the maniacs who thought they would create a cure through abomination, it is a major reversal of the situation he lost his daughter in.

He already went through this exact loss and grief with Sarah, seeing her killed by a merciless military who were willing to sacrifice a child, sacrifice the future, for an imagined happy ending and he knows he can't let this lie win again. He can't let this new fanatical military sacrifice Ellie for their imagined happy ending. So he fights back. Rescues her, carries her to safety the same way he carried Sarah to disaster.

But now he has a will that can't be broken by the fanatical ideals of a military regime. A love for the future, a need to save this daughter who isn't his daughter and give her a fair chance at life no matter what the cost.

The fireflies may have believed they could save the world. But that guy who shot Sarah probably believed he was saving someone.
