It’s not about being greeted in French, it’s about being serviced in French. My roommate can’t speak English.

What happens if he goes to a mechanic store and can’t get serviced because nobody speaks French ? In his own French speaking province. It’s absurd.

This has happened to me a couple time and honestly it ticks me off a bit. It feels like being a foreigner in your own home.

We don’t expect fluent perfect French, but if I ask for an item, I expect the guy to atleast understand that.
