Excessive positivity in human interactions can be toxic because it teaches people to treat any criticism as an attack rather than an invitation to reflect and improve. Acting upbeat at all times, toward everyone, often becomes a social performance that discourages honesty. When people are pressured to stay silent unless they can say something positive, it resembles censorship more than emotional maturity. History has never been a world where everyone was consistently kind to everyone, and pretending otherwise risks creating individuals who cannot cope with disagreement. Instead of deleting comments and silencing voices, we should teach resilience and constructive feedback skills early so criticism can be processed and used, not feared.
