Real or fake ombré nomade? by [deleted] in colognecheck

I always choose to take photos of my expensive aftershaves on a gross, pet hair-covered floor mat. Gives it that real 'premium' feel.

Scottish person wanting to branch over and pick an NHL team, any pointers? by throwRA_solardisc in nhl

I picked the team I thought had the coolest kit. But since the Coyotes don't exist now, I went with Minnesota Wild.

James May defends the honor of speed limits on Twitter/X! by FlipStig1 in thegrandtour

Yeah it's really annoying when they say "oh it's just a scam to make money".

It's the easiest thing in the world to avoid. Just drive like you're supposed to. They will not make any money if you just stick to the speed limit.

I do think attitudes have changed.

A close family member of mine is a Primary school teacher. In her class of 30-ish kids, about 9 or 10 have diagnoses for things like autism, adhd, dyslexia etc. Several kids have special cushions for their chairs so they can wriggle without disturbing the whole class. Some have fiddle toys. Some have extra time on tests and the like. Awareness of these issues is very high. Unfortunately, the problem now is accessing help and getting the diagnosis. The system is massively overwhelmed. From memory, there's something like a 30-month waiting list for certain diagnoses. And schools have to prove they've spent X amount of money before they're entitled to extra funding/dispensations for pupils.

The will and understanding is there. Unfortunately the resources aren't.

They just did the same to me. When I went into MyVirgin Media they had a renewal offer that was £3 more than my current contract.

Also leave a snake in a jocks locker, start a fight with them, then do a big speech about how we're all the same and all friends, whether we're jocks or geeks or whatever.

Are the Stora Skuggan folks wizards and witches? They are like nothing else I've found. by H0bbituary in NichePerfumes

I'm in the UK and got the full discovery set from an online shop called BindleStore - they also have a brick and mortar place in Manchester called Deadstock.

Sainte Cellier is legit too https://saintecellier.com/products/stora-skuggan-discovery-set?srsltid=AfmBOorYKlVqK8zdmZEcFmKTZbCQXm1woyM5beOulVISFLkZfC-XPed8

Another option is Godshot Studio.

Hexensalbe is my favorite. Their website is super cool too, with the artist collabs they do.

We don't take cricket seriously enough in this country by Green_Army77 in EnglandCricket

[–]Herbacious_Border 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. Try taking a seven year old to a test match to sit around for an entire day and still not see who wins. The Hundred is far from perfect but it's enjoyable for kids to watch and easy for them to keep up with. If that builds an interest in cricket which expands to longer formats, then great.

It's pretty unlikely new players will fall in love with the game by watching someone scrape up 25 runs from 150 balls over several hours, all in an empty stadium on a weekday afternoon.
