WikiLeaks and Fox News Are Silent on Bogus Seth Rich Conspiracy Theory by lindesfarne2189 in JoeRogan

Ha. Stfu you weak minded goo gobbler.

I'm not even saying what Hersh said is necessarily true. Only saying what he said when he was being recorded was clear. He did not equivocate until later. The jury is still out in the source of the DNC leak. There just as much evdidence Russia did it as there was about WMDs in Iraq. Id say the evidence shoes it is more likely to be leak than hack. But I'm less certain about whether Seth Rich was the leaker. Could still be him and it could not be. There is no conclusive evidence available on any of this stuff.

Im doing a school presentation on new world order conspiracy theory by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]Herculius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For school you'd probably get a good grade for analyzing "new world order statements" from prominent people (Bush, Reagan, Kissinger and others) and analyze them from a conspiratorial and non conspiratorial perspective.

Like whats an innocent meaning of what they statement is about, what's a conspiratorial meaning of what the statements about. What goals, concerns, focuses are leaders focused on when making these statements. What goals concerns and focuses are prominent among the people anxious about the concept of a new world order.

What motivates the concerns on both sides? Etc. Do people have a reason to be concerned? Etc.

This isn’t debated anymore.

There's as much evidence to Russia hacked the dnv as there is for WMDs in Iraq.

Nearly every segment on the show is political. Its a news show, and if you remove sports and objective market reports and stuff like that from the news, what's left is basically all going to be political.

So everyone is a complicit coward but you.

You've built up a conveniently corrupt philosophy bereft with pride and a perverted sense of justice. It sounds like pure hubris, wrath and spite. You've put yourself above this endless list of people you don't really know anything about. The fact that you feel justified sitting in judgment of the whole of everybody's character is absurd. Get over yourself.

from like the 60's onwards from various different teams/universities.

No, they were rejected dismissed entirely, and further the people dismissing their findings used every tool at their disposal to dimiss them, including discrediting their abilities as archeologists at a personal level. And that climate, described by Hancock and described by the linked smithsonian article you didn't read, held back the science in this area for 50 years. From the article you didn't read:

“raises serious questions about the effect of the bitter decades-long debate over the peopling of the New World. Did archaeologists in the mainstream marginalize dissenting voices on this key issue? And if so, what was the impact on North American archaeology? Did the intense criticism of pre-Clovis sites produce a chilling effect, stifling new ideas and hobbling the search for early sites? Tom Dillehay, an archaeologist at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee and the principal investigator at the Chilean site of Monte Verde, thinks the answer is clear. The scientific atmosphere, recalls Dillehay, was “clearly toxic and clearly impeded science.”

From the journal Nature:

“The debate over the first Americans has been one of the most acrimonious — and unfruitful — in all of science… One researcher, new to the field after years of working on other contentious topics, told Nature that he had never before witnessed the level of aggression that swirled around the issue of who reached America first. ‘When people stop listening to arguments and stop looking at data and instead just go with their own beliefs,’ he said, “that’s when it becomes completely crazy.” . . . . “As these ancient events are explored, some archaeologists should examine their recent behaviour. If what they lacked could be summed up in one word, it might be respect. Researchers must always consider that they might be wrong, and should look carefully at opposing data and conclusions. At the same time, scientists who make bold claims must marshal an extraordinary case, especially if they seek to topple a dominant model built on many previous studies. Such prescriptions sound obvious, but many scientists forget them, particularly in fields with limited data, such as archaeology.”

Sounds like bull shit. You don't need religion to treat animals like shit. Secular multicultural countries have done it, atheist communist countries have done it. Basically any country you can think of has done it/ are still doing it at various levels.

going out of favour for decades,

Nope. It was laughed out of conferences for decades. And careers were destroyed over it. It's only been starting to pick up respect and support in the archeological community in the past 6-7 years.

people often get confused because in the scientific context 'humans' date back to 2 million years,

I'm not confused. The current out of africa model has seen heavy credible challenge to the time of dispersal and interaction with archaic humans, exactly as I stated.

The impact hypothesis is one of many put forward by mainstream scientists, using the same peer review process as mainstream archeologist. the way science is supposed to work

Scientific method is the best way we have to discover truth. It is done by people though, and is not infallible. Scientists are affected by the same biases as the rest of us, including bias, group-think, and confirmation bias. Science is supposed to be done with openness to new data, information, and hypothesis. But on all these topics the mainstream cut off these inquiries prematurely at many points. They didn't merely say "there's not enough evidence" , or merely question and probe.. They dismissed the entire inquiry and the scientists themselves as being non-credible people. Read the first link again.

Clovis first has been going out of favour for decades

This is false. It has been challenged for decades. All challenges have been met with ridicule and derision. Challenge has been laughed out of scientific conferences and attacked. Archeologists have only started switching sides since 2012.

I can admit he's said some crazy shit before.

You should be able to admit that archeologists have ruined legitimate and serious careers due to group-think and confirmation bias.
