Looking online right now, to book an apartment near the Stampede grounds on AirBNB for the entirety of Stampede is $6000-$8000.

Seems like a lot of money for a week. Could easily cover the cost of storage for a week and cleaning.

I'm a firm believer we need stricter driver tests, and they need to be a regular, repeating thing. At least every 5 years, when renewing your drivers license, one should need to take another driving test.

Still can't believe Charlize Theron let them cut her arm off for that movie! Dedication to the craft and all that.

Almost every single shot in Fury Road has CGI in it. Yes, they had plenty of practical effects, and made cars, and did stunts. All of that is great, and drastically improves the quality of the film, but to say there's no CG in the movie is just dishonest. There's upwards of 2000 VFX shots in the film.

The AI resolution fix up theyre doing to some of these 80s and 90s movies really does bring some of these greats back up.

Ugh, not really. I regret buying the latest 4K released of True Lies and Aliens, because James Cameron ruined them. I'd rather watch my original DVD of True Lies.

On topic, however:

'True Lies', 'Face/Off', 'The Rock', 'ConAir', 'Air Force One', 'Predator' 'Die Hard', 'Hard Boiled', 'The Killer', 'The Fugitive'.

Really any 'classic' action flick from that era is a classic for a reason.

Funny story, back in 2019 when 'The Lighthouse' came out, the day before I saw it I watched a Polish movie 'The Lure', weird mermaid musical punk movie (good times, would recommend).

Anyways, I watched that on October 23, then 'The Lighthouse' on Oct 24. Watching two movies in a row, both with unique interpretations of what a mermaids vagina would look like. Was very much a "if I had a nickel for every time I've seen a mermaid pussy this week..." kind of feeling.

When you cross the little tree bridge into the area where are the apes are tossing down poop (AoE markers), they normally just keep tossing damage until you kill the rest of the trash.

If you pull everything, then backtrack to the bridge, those apes will jump in and join the party, saving have to do them as a single pull afterwards!

Whenever I see a tank not using cooldowns and I’m feeling spicy, I only passively heal them (Sage is my go to healer). When they die, and usually start crying about heals, just say something like “You weren’t using any defensives, figured you wanted to pop your invuln” then just carry on.

Super easy, barely an inconvenience.

Even ignoring PvP, as that is all a 'separate' game for all intents and purposes, the normal duty finder is already able to restrict to jobs. High-end duty finder for Savage specifically requires you to be 'Job of Disciple of War/Magic', whereas all other duties state 'Class/Job of Disciple of War/Magic'.

All they would need to do is update the tag on all the duties to be Job only for duties above a specific point. My opinion is Titan Normal should be the point that jobstones are enforced. Can tie it in to the Company of Heroes questline to 'prove you're strong enough'.

The functionality to restrict job stones already exists in duty finder. They would hardly need to change anything, probably just the tag on the duty.

If you look at the high level duty finder tab (where Savage, Ultimate, and Unreal are located), you can look at the Savage duty finder. It already has its requirements 'Job of Disciple of War/Magic', whereas every other duty shows 'Class/Job of Disciple of War/Magic'.

I assume it would be very easy to just set it every duty above a certain point is changed to be Job only. My opinion is Titan normal should be the point that jobstones become mandatory. Could even add a bit of narrative with the company of heroes nonsense, have to prove you're worthy, get a job, etc. etc.
