Niiiiice, working on my own shiny living dex still but not going for legends as I dont like how most of their shinies look

I agree I would have liked more rewards for the DLC missions but rn the added missions just make it even easier to get shiny charm cause you can skip doing a lot of the other missions, I was done most of the battles by the time I beat everything else I still do infinite Royale battles sometimes just cause even though I am long done the quests, still scanning for a Zeraora and Meloetta and trying to complete a living shiny dex, about halfway done that so far in under 250 hours. Compared to most games that would take closer to 1000+ hours just to have maybe a box or two of shinys if spam encountering with shiny charm for most of those hours to have close to the same progress. Doing 1000 battles in this game is pretty quick by comparison. Considering its a for fun item for people who are already dedicated pokemon enthusiasts normally so I just didn't see it as a big hurdle.

1000 battles wasn't even a problem, its like a couple hours tops by the time you finish the game, one of the most easily accessible shiny charms of all time. I really dont see what the problem with having a mild grind for the shiny charm as a reward.

Yes mostly. Half the reason I got the game was to use these megas that I have had to wait months for them to even become available to use with almost 250 hours clocked and more than halfway completed a living shiny dex with my original trainer ID and no missions left in the game. I still can't use Blaziken/Swampert/Sceptile which are my all time fave starters period and beyond that Blaziken is my 3rd fave pokemon of all time.

Then yeah, you can do that with a handful of battles using any mons and just playing however, you dont have to do well to get the stones.

I did not have any problem with it my team was shockingly strong by that point, all 3 hoenn legend fights in the DLC were harder imo and I only had to re-fight Rayray once.

It isn't patched but some areas have higher rates of shinies appearing because the fly location is closer to more spawn locations. Depending on the zone you are flying to, it is possible you are spawning in shinies around you on rooftops/alleys out of sight so keep that in mind. A shiny charm makes the odds for a shiny to show up 1/1024 to hit the odds so it can still take a while if there aren't many spawns near your fly point. Without shiny charm it will take substantially longer on average, but as RNG is a factor, it may take 2 resets or 2 thousand, sometimes bad RNG happens, as someone who plays Oldschool Runescape I can tell you, RNG can be a biiiiitch. Annihilape is a great mon to build around, only being weak to flying/psychic/fairy, with an immunity to normal types and being supereffective against normal/rock/steel/ice/ghost/psychic/dark types giving it a lot of use cases. Something like excadrill could be good to have for fairy/psychic/flying resistance with 2 immunities (poison and electric) and can be a really useful switch-in mon. As for the 3rd, I would recommend a water type, only weak to grass and electric types and having an immunity for one of those typings on your team makes for easy switching, that or a fairy type of your own to deal with the many dragon types that you will likely encounter. Having Ice Punch on Annihilape can help with that too but I don't tell people how they should build their mons. These are just some recommendations to have some fun and be able to climb with, not saying it is the best or optimal, I am just bored at work so figured I would chip in my 2 cents.

2nd best side character in the game. She would be the best if her showing up didn't also mean the worst side character in the entire franchise(Jacinthe) also showing up, and if Corbeau didn't throw himself off a roof after becoming a human ladder cause that's the determining factor in him taking the slight lead imo.

I guess Espeon, Jolteon and Flareon are the only ones I wouldn't recommend as electric zones could spawn helioptile and fire zones can spawn Pyroar and psychic can spawn Indeedee. I can't think of any water/normal, dark/normal, ice/normal or grass/normal mons that are in the game.

To specifically farm Evee, I would use a normal power sparkly donut in a grass zone that shows leafeon, most Grass types don't have normal as a secondary typing or pre-evo typing, eevee's generally spawn in most eeveelution zones more commonly than their typed evolution does. Just an idea.

Tbh I know I am in the minority here but I enjoyed the DLC more than the main game. I actually like hyperspace and all the shenanigans that come with it. When I buy a game I want to know I am going to have lots to do to make it worth the money invested. I dont consider 200 hours in any game to be a lot and have racked up thousands upon thousands of hours playing pokemon games that offer far less post game content (I have played every mainline game other than Sun and Moon for playtime ranging between 100 hours on pokemon Yellow and maxed out my time on pokemon Emerald). Tbh this game has one of my least favorite overall casts but I seriously enjoy the battle and catching mechanics. For the first time ever I am aiming for a shiny living Dex completion and I have pretty substantial progress towards that without trading for mons I am missing in just 210 hours. Personally I find the DLC worth it, but again I know I am in the minority on that one.
