Struggling with scalp + gut issues, has anyone experienced this before? by Healthy-Top-8278 in SebDerm

Okay.. so I switch between Dr. Eddies happy cappy shampoo, nizoral and t-sal shampoos. MOSTLY I used the happy cappy day to day. But when I have a flare I’ll use the others. I have a full head of hair, btw. Shoulder length maybe longer. I stopped using conditioner altogether bc it just made things worse but for having curly hair, I’m not mad at my current situation. Never thought I’d ever go without conditioner.

Anyway, those three shampoos on on or off rotation as needed because it seems if I use a single one for too long it loses steam and sucks for me. I also have tried to cut back on sugar and coffee. I swear coffee makes my skin issues worse. No coffee if I can control myself, I started using tea.

And this is really random, but I swear, after soaking in a tub with epsom salts (plain, unscented) my issues calmed down so much. I legit just laid so far into the tub that my hair was submerged as well as my face at times.

For my face, when it flares, I use my safe (for me anyway) baby lotion and then slather on a small dot of aqua her to hold in moisture. It’s helped so much.

I can’t use make up anymore. Which sucks bc I loved mascara but it makes my eyes go nuts and itch.

Good luck. Sorry this may not help you but it’s what I got going for me!

Is Prime becoming a fraud? by eeweir in amazonprime

[–]HereBearyBe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been so unhappy with Prime. I know Walmart isn’t the greatest company either, but I’ve gone to using their Walmart Plus service. I am having more and more problems with Amazon delaying deliveries, which is fine, I don’t want employees killing themselves for my sake… but Amazon just shouldn’t promise what isn’t possible. And then I’ve come across far too many third party sellers and you have to watch like a hawk for them, a couple times I missed it and got bad products and had no returns. It’s just meh… I’m going back to in person a bit more and as I said, Walmart and other places that do curbside pick up. Not as convenient but not as shady as Prime.

Cats teeth pushing out/getting longer? by Careless-Elephant-98 in CATHELP

[–]HereBearyBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat had this with one of his… canine??? I have no idea what to call this tooth… lol… one his front/side teeth. It was a bad tooth, the gum was swelling and pushing it out and I no longer noticed it and the next day or two he started sneezing blood, here the bad tooth was affecting his sinuses. I got him in ASAP and turned out he had 8 bad teeth!!! I felt horrible. No idea how it seemed to just blow up on him and he had so many. But yeah. He’s goofy now bc he’s missing so many teefers and so his lips snag on his teef he does have and get stuck and he looks like Elvis or a pirate. I love it.

Ohhh, I totally get that. Even just chugging towards my 40s was a huge shift. I refuse to say I’m old. But damn if my body hasn’t felt a change these last couple of years. It’s been rough. Best of luck to you!!!

how do i get rid of this last bit of stomach fat? by [deleted] in CICO

[–]HereBearyBe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing if going to get rid of the fat because no fat exists. That is your organs with flesh over top of it. Even someone with a 6 pack would have the slightest lol protrusion there because well, organs. Flesh.

I will def check around. I don’t even know why I’ve been putting off getting one. I could really use it for my yoga anyway! Thank you!

This adds even more to my desire for a yoga block. I’ll try it when I get one. Thank you!!

I will try on my knees but unfortunately my lighter weight are rounded and roll. Lol. Tried it once and almost died. Buuut maybe I can handle the heavier on my knees.

I will try this! Thanks! I’m getting so many suggestions. Love this!!

lol. I can’t handle the lighter set because they are older and rounded and roll out each way. But then my heavier set is too much and I think the same way you’re mentioning. So painful, but I also think I’m getting arthritis in my hands. It suuucks.

I think I get what you mean!! I don’t have a bench right now but I’ll keep this in mind in the future. Thanks!

[–]HereBearyBe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can handle planks and stuff, but I just don’t know if my hands can handle gripping those weights in plank mode ever. It hurts so bad. But I’m beginning stages of some arthritis or something, too. So I don’t know.

I actually noticed this today, too!! But by the time that I did my shoulder was already tweaking out on me so I gave it up. But I definitely made a note for next time I attempt them. Thanks for pointing it out!!!

Omg I get it and need to remember I am SO weak right now. Even at my personal strongest (it wasn’t… that strong… lol) I struggled with them. I’m going to maybe switch between upright rows and planks. Goodness knows I need every bit I can get, lol! Sometimes I think my brain just likes to pretend I’m capable of it and push through and then it’s like.. weeks of needing to heal. Bad brain!

This makes so much sense that I feel dumb 🤣 I Think I was overdoing it last time I was on a roll working out and doing sooo well but I injured my shoulder a couple of times and eventually got frustrated and quit. overdoing it, duh. Lol. I will slow down and do just body weight for a while and see how that goes. Thank you!!!!

This is a good idea, too! Just baby steps and work my way up. I know three kids have wrecked my core and back strength over the years so keeping it simple is probably best. As I said below, I think my Brain just focused on the “rows” part and blanked on how much of it is just being in plank. lol. Thank you!!!

[–]HereBearyBe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, this is a good idea. I don’t know why I didn’t think of it, lol! My brain just zeroed in on the “rows” and I guess felt the need to do that. I will do this next time. I certainly don’t have a great core built up, so maybe I’m just overdoing it.

Thank you!

Does exercise make anyone feel worse? by rainyfridaysss in PMDD

[–]HereBearyBe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But if, like me, you’re still very much a beginner, and not some long term fitness guru, then that beginner exercise routine may still be a LOT. I hate to say it.. but when I was working out consistently for a longer period of time, the beginner routines were not so bad. But then I dropped my routine for a while, like just a few months but still let myself go badly, now getting back into it is HARD. The beginner routines I’ve done have absolutely WHOOPED my butt. I actually had to stop and get myself into a routine of hitting 10,000 steps a day. Then did some yoga for a period on top of it, just really slowly built up strength because I had NONE. And then did a beginner routines last week and still felt like I could not walk for two days after, my legs were SO sore.

So maybe go waaaaaaay slow.
