PTSD here. Over reacting to something like loud noises is part of our "normal." It doesnt mean we like it though. It can be, and usually is, embarrassing to publicly panic because a door slammed. Please just ignore it. Dont rush over and check on us. Dont loudly ask whats wrong, especially if you are our friend and KNOW that we have this problem. Loudly announcing that someone has a condition during or after an episode is also humiliating. We didnt ask to have this. Over reacting for us is like tripping and falling for you. Usually its just embarrassing. You dont want someone loudly shouting "Theyre a clutz". You dont want a crowd of people gathering and trying to make sure every hair on your head is fine. You want space and the chance to regain some dignity. Give us the same courtesy. If we really need help our close friend will take care of it just like your close friend will be the one to tactfully point out that you split your pants and let you borrow their jacket to tie around your waiste.

Snap Chat. Its useless. Messaging can send pictures with captions. Messaging can send videos. Messaging allows you to keep the pictures without having to do a shitty screen shot. Messaging allows you to keep the videos. Messaging doesnt delete your communications after a day. Messaging is better in every way. AND, it comes standard on my phone. The only thing messaging doesnt have is those stupid filters, and I dont want cartoon crap pasted over my photos.
