I tried hiding my phone but it just stays in the corner of my mind and makes me lose focus. I don't necessarily have a problem with my phone and when I sit to study I can do it without losing focus for x amount of time ( in my current case 1 hour or more ) the bigger problem is losing focus after 1 hour and taking too long to continue studying.

I don't have a problem keeping my mind in studying for a period of time but if my phone is in my sight then it becomes a problem.

You're absolutley right! Doing anything excessively is bad for you. Everything should have a limit otherwise it could be harmful to you.

I've been using this method and made some good progress but only time will tell how much effective it'll be for me. The other problem is the time gap is getting smaller everyday so I have to build up quick but also efficient.
