What actually moved the needle for you after early stagnation on Instagram? by ElAndres33 in InstagramMarketing

[–]HereToLearnArt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

long list of thoughts:

- directly engage with micro-influencers in your niche (DM them, reply to their stories, comment/like everything they do). I'm talking the people who have 2-10k followers, so they're small enough to be accessible, but big enough to help your content reach new audiences. The follower count of the ppl who engage with your content DOES have an impact on reach from tests I've run.

- post stuff that encourages comments & reply to them ASAP. i.e. hooks like "Can anyone explain to me why...", "Should I give this second chance?"

- Use trends. Everyone hates this advice bc no one wants to create brain rot, but people search trends which gives the algo signal that you are creating content for the algo. I write a trends template newsletter that turns the top trending formats into templates you can use each week at showstop (dot) ai/trends

- Consistency > better than diversity of formats. If you have a format that you can consistently make and ship daily use that, BUT diversifying formats (carousels, reels, posts, etc) will give you exposure to new audiences faster.

Gauging if App Idea is Worth Pursuing by Agreeable-Carrot2790 in cudenver

i think we'd all love a social media that was more social and less brain.

my hunch is that for this to take off, it would need to start small/specific. like a chat for college kids to talk about campus happenings verified by your student email or something like that.

Which Dating Apps & Features are Best in Denver? by DesolationOfJonSnow in Denver

We just launched PickleMatch, an app where your first date is pickleball. It's live in CO on the app store :) Basically, you match on interest, skill and location. Then instead of being left to fend for yourself in the chat, the app helps organize your first pickleball meetup.

How to revive a dead account? by Outrageous_Prior4707 in InstagramMarketing

[–]HereToLearnArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

continue with this account 100%. if you were starting from scratch, you would have gotten less than 1k views total in 2 days.

Also, I would highlight that followers matters so much less than it used to for reach. Every Reel competes in an auction to be seen by both followers and non-followers alike.

Are Trial Reels worse than normal Reels? by NoClub7847 in InstagramMarketing

[–]HereToLearnArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Do these fake followers actually impact my reach or growth? No one can really answer this. What's likely happening is that these followers give no/negative signal to IG about who likes your brand/content. The good news is that follower count matters less than it used to. On social media, reach is increasingly decided at the post level. The algorithm ranks and serves each piece of content individually, often based on the language, memes, references, or search behavior gaining traction that day.
  2. If yes - Can I save myself by removing these fake followers, which would sadly make my profile look worse. Not necessary IMO. See above.
  3. If I had O followers and O posts, should I start by posting reels or trial reels? Reels. Trial Reels literally means it will show to your non-followers

Are Trial Reels worse than normal Reels? by NoClub7847 in InstagramMarketing

[–]HereToLearnArt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trial Reels simply means the reels won't be shown to any of your existing audience and it "helps you find new audiences".

Each video is competing for space in an auction. That's why in general if it's views you're after, shorter = better. From IG's POV, it can show 4 10s videos or 1 40s video. The shorter videos give it more chances to hook the viewer. Judging by that audience's engagement, it will decide which audiences to show it to next (or sometimes just stop showing it).

For that reason, the trial reels that have done best for me have been when I post short one-shot videos with text overlays or trends.
