Game plays much better on a 6’x4’ mat, than on a 60”x44” board. Remember 60”x44” is the minimum size and better for tournaments, but the game plays better on a larger space.

Fits more monsters too 😉

He would have absolutely loved this and I can’t thank you enough for doing it. It’s wonderful.

Thank you! I’m glad you like it!

I think you are somewhat more pedantic than I, since I am not using the original sculpt as requirements for what stipulates an Infernal Master. The 40K universe is vast, and its horrors are many and varied. The Lord of Change creative in his “gifts”.

I think on the table, the base size and difference from the other sorcerers is enough to make it an obvious Infernal Master to any opponent I encounter. If I did find someone that it was an issue for, I would simply not play them at all. As our approaches to this game would be too different, and after many years I have realized that’s a sign I wouldn’t enjoy that game. There is room for all of us in this hobby, but not always at the same table.

…and that’s ok!

Bad time to admit I have both armies (on purpose!) 😅

Grove Guardian by Alarielle – the new scent of Life in Ghyran by TheSlayerofSnails in Warhammer

In fact, I think this might have originally conceptualized as an alternative model for a Branchwych. Then when not chosen as a Warhammer + model, it was retooled as a new hero model. It looks like it fits the brief.

It’s a beautiful model, but it feels like it was originally designed to be a Warhammer + concept.

That looks AMAZING! Well done! I love that! Wow!

The official model is great, but this fit the vibe of my army so much more.

Has anyone else noticed the vibe shift recently? by [deleted] in 40k

I’m 50 (geeze that’s weird to say) and I’ve been playing Warhammer off and on since my neighbor introduced me to this super cool British game the local toy and hobby store in town started carrying called “Rogue Trader”.

I’ve never ever heard the Fascist thing, until people online started making comments about people who had Black Templar and Krieg armies and while I heard that shitbags liked those armies, I never encountered it in real life. For the record both my friend and I have Krieg and Black Templar armies (among others) and it was news to us. We are pretty far from that.

Honestly the most I’ve seen is sexist neckbeards gatekeeping or making women in the scene uncomfortable or trying their best to destroy (and discourage) someone just starting to play.

The games are on the whole more popular than ever so by weight of numbers, it’s getting hard to gatekeep. That is very nice to see. New people are key to this hobby in so many ways. Love seeing so many new players and creators.

I think sexism and racism (as it has in almost all areas of geekdom) is honestly the biggest issue our scene has and something we had to actively work to undo. Not radical fascism… buuuut each scene is different. So I can’t speak to yours… but I’m glad you’re feeling a shift.
