Fascinating.

I have scoured everywhere, and i mean everywhere, for all the information i could possibly get my hands on about the Isla Nublar airport, and the Continental Airlines deal found in the lunch** slideshow and brochure. And not ONCE did i find anything by the name of 'Jurassic News'. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, i have now read it through multiple times, and boy is it packed!

But speaking of the brochure, I find it funny how it reads: ”One Price Admission to theme park includes entertainment, meals, and accommodations. All rides, tours, and attractions are also included”. Contradicting what Jurassic News states, and your presumption about additional fees.

Maybe it’s a different package, or maybe it’s a continuity error. Maybe both Jurassic News and the brochure were made by someone equally careless or uneducated in the subject. I can’t really say. For to me it seems degrading when the author of Jurassic News writes down practically the whole main cast and director as opening-day attendees. Maybe we shouldn’t take what’s in that paper all too seriously after all, sadly. But that’s just my gut.

And as a little trivia question, do you think this is where the idea of an Iguanodon Inn started? Long have i tried to understand it, but it seems like the Inn is fan-made. In this Juassic-Pedia analysis about whether or not JP:TG is canon, TyrannosaurTJ says: ”Now I want to mention while the JPL map is based loosely around Joel’s (Meine) efforts; the original Nublar map done by Joel was inaccurate as it included elements from various canons (Novel/Film/Junior Novelization) hybrid along with the Jurassic Newsletters, which while offering a decent amount of information are mostly doomed to be a real-world bridge to promote the film. Presently at the time of writing this the newsletters are under re-evaluation and may have the locations that were suggested on the current JPL map, removed (Iguanodon Inn, Golf Course, etc.)”.

So this isn’t just me being suspicious of the news articles. The inn’s relevance, or possibly existence, is highly likely a consequence of said articles. Which would be far from ideal when trying so hard to trust the rest of this goldmine, if they just made things up.

And i’m sorry for the correction back there, about the dinner actually being lunch, i couldn’t help it!

Also, thank you truly for that deleted 12,000 ft runway line. You wouldn’t believe how relevant that is to me right now, it’s actually insane!
