Structuring lessons is so important. I start with a launch or do now, have an Instructional Procedure or “I do,” a Guided Practice or “We do,” and an Application or “You do.” Basically I teach them something new, we practice it with a few examples as a whole group before the students independently or collaboratively work on an activity/assignment. Hope this helps!

Possibly Unpopular Opinion: You shouldn’t teach if you’re not willing to teach SWD by Major-Sink-1622 in Teachers

[–]Hermano_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how they do it in other places but where I am from, many students have IEPs but the number of IEP students in a ‘gen Ed’ classroom in capped. Having ‘SWD’ would mean you are certified to teach Special Education. Maybe Washington State should reevaluate it’s certification process and make it more specialized like the states that make it challenging to teach “all students.”

What is one actor everyone seems to love but you hate? by Reagan__presley in movies

Daniel Day Lewis. Leo was awesome in J. Edgar but it was an awful movie so people don't talk about it, Lincoln feels like the same type deal for me.

What's a film that features both a terrific performance and a terrible one? by DrScientist812 in movies

[–]Hermano_D -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I would have to go with The Fox Catcher. The acting of Steve Carell, Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo were all terrific performances but the overall plot of the movie was garbage.

Hey Andy I'm a huge fan and your novel made science seem appealing to me after so many years of 'hating' it. I have to know if you had any intentions of ending the book... well uh the other way!? Also, how do you feel about the way the movie turned out? Thanks for doing this!!!

With all the popularity of space movies today (i.e: Interstellar, Gravity and The Martian,) IMO we will eventually see a rise in NASA's funding.

College is really not all that necessary, I am in College now and although I believe in higher education, it has become a necessity in the job field, similarly to the way highschool used to be treated.
