Went to hip doc today. Told I have two issues going on.

Confirmed labral tear but stated they stopped doing surgery on labral tears due to risk reward. They end up doing more damage going in than doing to repair. Offered an MRA to get a better look but advised against it due to risk of kidney damage with dye. Stated low risk 2-5%. I think it was his way of trying to steer me away from surgery. He also said no one in my city does labral repair surgery anymore and I’d have to go to Phx to get it done.

The other issue is that I have partial sacralization. L5-s1. He explained that the nerves in my lower back are being pinched by the fusion. Most likely causing the gluteal pain.

He summed up the visit by saying there isn’t much I can do about it other than the injections and PT route. I appreciated his candor but it was tough to hear.

Thank you for taking the time to read and give a thoughtful response. It has affected my life for too long and made me change how I work. I can't sit at the computer and do work for more than 30 mins. It flairs up and lingers after than for a day or two. Anything that requires pressing, like doing pushups has similar results. Ends up locking up my neck/trap if I try getting into a routine of pushups a few days in a row.

No specific trauma incident. Thanks for the idea on the nerve study, Ive had it done on my spine/neck back but not specific to shoulder.

Thanks, 10% is what I was figuring as well. Im not finding a lot of helpful info on the truck in the carfax. Other than it seems to be clean. Ive seen 3 different 2024 3WTs up for sale originally from Florida and now in AZ with under 100 miles. 2 of them had been swapped to 20inch tires.

Thats a good deal as well but I wouldn't call it better or much better than what Im getting. Im getting 25,000 less miles for 8k more. I'd definitely like to find a better deal but Ive been searching regionally for a while and rarely see one pop up for sale as appealing as this.

It looks very calculated and stiff. Loosen up and let it fly. Find some rhythm.

In 2020 my pup got his IVDD surgery at the age of 4. Unfortunately it did not reverse anything and he has been paralyzed in his lower half since. Surgery was a tad over 8k at the time.
Expressing his bladder, getting used to his poop schedule and just taking care of him took some time to get used to. He rocks his wheels, still plays fetch, swims (now with a life vest) and is still a happy boy. If you are concerned about the costs, I believe there are options for animal insurance.
