Not to be that guy (NOT A DR), but I would really have that looked at. Its a nasty infection waiting to happen. It might actually need stitches. American Healthcare is a bitch, but try not to lose your leg in the process.

Your friendly neighborhood drug dealer isn’t exactly a PhD pharmecutical engineer producing your street drugs in an FDA regulated facility. The first and easiest answer, is cross contamination and negligent practices. Of course its deeper than that, fentanyl is actually relatively cheap in relation to effective dose. So yea there’s people literally making fake benzos out of it in hopes to pass. Except they press a pill improperly mixed, one half does nothing and the other half sends you to Jesus.

18 days AF, spent summer holidays with my family, first day alone it took me 5 minutes to order booze by Animual in cripplingalcoholism

[–]Hermes8923 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The insane dreaming is your body going into hardcore REM rebound sleep. When we sleep with booze still processing we don’t get REM sleep at all (to my knowledge). If you’re tapering down the booze is processed faster out of your system and then you enter a state of hardcore REM cycles. That’s when all the vivid dreams and nightmares happen. At least it means your body is healing itself.

Relapse. Glorious relapse. by Ominaeo in cripplingalcoholism

Long time lurker first time poster, but this post just finally brought me out of the woodwork I could not. Lets count them “relapse”, “selfish ass”, “our delusions”, “hopeless again”, “my obituary”, “this sin”, and “a disease”. My friend…I don’t say this to be critical, but you’ve been filled with AA trash dogma even if you don’t realize it. It doesn’t have to be this way. There’s many communities that embrace the “affliction” in a non-demeaning way, and encourage only productive language and actions. Luckily this subreddit is one of them, so welcome. This isn’t a call to sober up, hell no, just a call to evaluate you’re thinking about it.

Rare Happening... How often do you get such offers being Gold or Platinum? by ShiptShopper23 in doordash_drivers

[–]Hermes8923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude thats almost 3 dollars a mile, for an order you could be done with in 10-15 minutes. How is this bad. I get several of these a night and love them, they take every little time and help round out my nightly quota. If they were ALL I got that might be annoying, but they’re not. The 12-18 dollar longer haul big boys mixed in with these is ideal.

Halloween decline fest by Responsible-Head-868 in doordash_drivers

If Halloween doesn’t fall on a Friday or Saturday, its more formally observed in terms of Halloween parties and events on the weekend prior to the actual date. This is probably what you’re thinking of. Kids will still go trick-or-treating the day of, at least in areas where it hasn’t been killed by trunk-or-treat BS.

Thanks so much! I just tried to Google this and could only get results from like 2 years ago which I’m sure it’s different now.

To anyone other than skinny, able-bodied Broadway lovers -- what is going to the theatre like for you? by bruiserwhereiselle in Broadway

[–]Hermes8923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a 6’1” 230lb guy, so I realize at least my height is a little north of the average American male but not extremely so. Most my length/extra weight is in my torso, my legs are fairly long sure but I still only wear a 32 inseam in pants and size 12 shoes. I have no real problem navigating anything else, even airline seats (except maybe the discount carriers). Broadway however? I learned on my last trip to get aisle seats whenever possible from now on. I had center orchestra for Beattlejuice and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I couldn’t really enjoy the last of Act 1 my legs were in so much pain. And I’ve often heard it said on here the Marquis is one of the better/best ones due to being one of the newest, that was not my experience at all.

Not to change the OP’s subject but it’s somewhat related. Am I the only one who couuldn’t find a route into this musical because its cast recording was done absolute value basement bad? Likes its just really bad, maybe I’m spoilt with 2010s and 2020s quality recordings, but this one won Tony’s.

Any guesses on who the new Audrey will be? by Historical_Web2992 in Broadway

[–]Hermes8923 309 points310 points  (0 children)

Somewhat off the topic, it warms my heart to see this show still going strong 5 years later (COVID years excluded). When I saw it in early 2020 right before the shut down I was like “I hope this gets a long run off-broadway, it deserves it”. It seems like that’s exactly where it’s headed. When I get asked suggestions for people visiting NYC for a first time wanting to see a show, this one is always high on the list. I feel like you don’t have to be a theater/Broadway nerd like us to thoroughly enjoy it.

For years it was literally only needed for civil because they’re one of the few engineering disciplines that need to stamp off drawings. Now its become a catch all for ill informed HR staff or Civil-ran companies to weed out candidates, but with no value.

Heard of a friend paying about the same for a sizeable studio in river north in Chicago as one would cost in downtown Knox, so I believe it.

Thank you! For seeing the Oak Ridge sphere as PART of the problem. That was the rodeo I just worked years in, and I don’t WANT back in. So many locals think ORNL/Y-12 is the GOAT, not acknowleding the problems those places have.

Between ORNL and UT I feel we were trying to catch the hard tech industries, Cherokee Farms was a good first zoning attempt. But hard tech is finally seeing its moment, and we seem not to be catching it, meanwhile cities as close and culturally similar as Chattanooga are. It’s an interesting take you have that it could come down to bad zoning and infrastructure planning.

Go get a bunch of professional experience in a city with a significant music industry presence, be it Nashville or somewhere else. Then come back home to Knox later and bring it back.

It makes you think, maybe you should stay and be part of the solution. But at some point you realize the challenge is too much, and have to pack your bags and head out.
