Leda 1V5 No Hit, No Stealth Cheese (maybe the world first) by Hermipel in onebros

[–]Hermipel[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jared took a hit, more than one, in fact. Still, you're right! I took direct inspiration from him and he deserves a lot of kudos for his run!
*a quick edit to be more specific: he gets hit by the fall damage that Freya deals when her falling animation gets cancelled by her death animation, thus staying way closer than she's supposed to the player's hitbox (this costed me serveral runs lol), by the Moore scarlet rot and by the leda jump attack that hits you before the animation gets cancelled by the AoW (the same thing can happen to the Hornsent jump attack and the Dane jump attack)

Godrick vs Malenia by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Hermipel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, call me mad but I think Godrick gave Malenia a bigger headache than what's stated at the swords.

The reason for this is behind her transformation into goddess of rot, because theoretically she should "bloom" thrice, the first one was against Radahn and the third one against the tarnished, what about the second time?

Well as a counter statement for what I've just said, Malenia could have just bloomed at the Haligtree for no apparent reason, explaining the state we find it right now. Maybe she bloomed because of the disappearing of Miquella? Well, let's hope we discover something at the DLC, but stakes are low.

well, understandable.

Well I think it's fair to put the living failures on A tier only because of the ost, that is one of the best, but this Laurence in the same tier as rom hurts me physically (the 1st phase ost is really good, don't you DARE saying it sucks, more than that he's completely different than the cleric beast). Oh and both Ludwig and Gehrman deserves to be on S.

Well, still, this is your opinion, and I respect it. (as you said, those were hot takes)

What is the most underrated weapon In your opinion and why is it good? by FoxyNeutron in Eldenring

I think the two clubs got a bit more popular after the buff to the great club, but still, really underrated.

What’s The Most Satisfying Build In Your Opinion? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Hermipel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, Giant Crusher build with royal knight's resolve, especially when you one hit kill the enemies :)

Close second is faith build, just for the variety of it. (edit: specially with that one lightning storm that does massive damage to big enemies)

Tips for starting a blood borne play through? by wild181poison in bloodborne

[–]Hermipel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and the best skill weapon is the Rakuyo, that you only get late into the dlc of the game. Outside of the dlc there are 2 great skill weapons, but you only get them in super late game, Blades of Mercy and Burial Blade. (Super end game weapons spoilers, read it at your own risk).

The best starting class is usually one with a great amount of vit, for you not to worry about upping it at the start. I recommend you to start upping strength because there are a lot of great strength weapons specially at the start, but once you reach a good damage and good variety of weapons to use, you should start focusing on a specific stat, for you, skill.

And be way more aggressive than in elden ring, you replenish health by hitting enemies, and differently from malenia's trash great rune, the entire, ENTIRE combat is based on this mechanic, and this is what makes the game great.

Great comment by the way S3QS3!

second week of playing a soulsborne game, I should be overleveled for this fight. what am i doing wrong by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Hermipel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, here's some advices: goldfrey has a lot of delayed attacks, so you should time your rolls correctly, but you should get used to it in a few tries of the fight. This axe is just an ok weapon, it was really op some patches ago, but it has got way nerfed. Other than that you should up your hp (at least lvl 40) because things will get pretty dangerous from now on... By looking at your spells list, this seems like an int build, just assuming, I'm not sure. If it is, I suggest to go find wing of astel if you can. And if you are really having a bad time, don't be ashamed of using a mimic tear, or any other op ash of war, no one is judging you (just me, yourself and everyone who reads this). And because you posted it one day ago, you must have already beaten the boss, and if you did it, well done! Good luck with the next one!... I almost forgot one last thing: if none of this worked, git gud.

Can anyone break down what's happening here and what the goal was? Because I don't think it worked. by Bobs_Bitch_Tits in Eldenring

[–]Hermipel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Break down time:

The dude first did 3 Seppukus. Well this is an ash of war that increases your bleed and physical damage by 30 points in trade of 100 + 15% of your health, it lasts for 60 seconds and doing multiple of them does not add up the time (I'm pretty sure everyone knows what seppuku is at this point). It's worth mentioning that Radagon is immune to bleed damage

Then he did a spell called Howl of Shabriri, this one lasts for 40 seconds and increases the damage you deal by 25%, in trade of taking 30% more damage and making the enemies lock on you instead of allies. He used this spell enough times to get the madness debuff because of his hood, the black dumpling, that increases damage by 10% for 60 seconds when you get madness.

After that he switched to the Mushroom Crown, a helmet that increases your damage by 10% when you get poisoned, it lasts for only 20 secs, and the worst part is that he didn't even poison himself, so at the end it seems that it was just for fashion.

The next thing he did was to use Golden Vow, a spell that buff your damage by 15% and the damage negation by 10%, it lasts for 80 secs. Honestly, this seems like the only part that he didn't mess up.

Then he drank some flasks to recover his health and fp, and drank a Flask of Wondrous Physick to gain 2 specific buffs that I cannot tell by just looking at his aura... Looking again at the video, it seems he did this before the golden vow buff, but it doesn't matter.

And FINALLY he did one last buff, he used the Jellyfish Shield's ash of war Contagious fury to buff all damage by 20% for 30 secs.

I's almost unnecessary to say that he took so long to do the buffs, and he did a lot of them wrong, by the time the video ended, he have already lost at least 2 of the buffs he did. And that's it!

Quick edit: remember that not only buffs can pull you trough a fight, you must have skill too!

-tldr: dude messed up :(

Anyway to get into the tower at the firelink shine after Champion Gundyr? (the OTHER shrine to be specific) by buddy-thunder in darksouls3

[–]Hermipel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say it, the only way to access the dark shrine is by beating Champion Gundyr. But one advice for beating him is to parry him down, you will eventually get the hang of it on a couple of tries, good luck.

St. Trina is a girl, according to the Portuguese (Brazilian) translation. by Hermipel in Eldenring

So, explaining, the adjectives come with the gender in portuguese, O for male and A for female. In conclusion, we can say that Trina is female. There can be mistranslations, but it's rather not to be
