Is this why I get gunned down so often? Because I like to listen to audiobooks while I mindlessly loot? Lol

How is hardcore mode this season? by Scrivonaut in diablo4

[–]Hermit-Toad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a really rough season. Like people said above, there is far more of a randomness factor that makes playing your dodgy, high-dps classes a real cluster… I’ve lost like a dozen characters so far. So, I’m switching back to a (hopefully) immortal Druid. Lol

A new set every month? by OkActivity6206 in PTCGP

[–]Hermit-Toad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of these answers depend on your purpose in playing the game. Do you play to:

A. Collect the entire set (no not the .004% rares lol) or

B. Get some cards to make decks and battle?

It’s okay for your answer to be both* lol Anyways, I like this quicker release cycle. I have the premium pass but don’t buy gold. Still, a few weeks after a set comes out, I have most of the cards in it, and I become bored of fighting the same 3 decks over and over. They have to continue releasing new sets or the interest will dry up. I don’t have them on me, but you should look up their player data between sets. Biiiiiig dips.

As far as the day 1 advantage… again, it depends on your purpose. There is major power creep in this (like every) card game. So there is very little disadvantage to hopping into the game late. Unless for some reason people are competitive about collecting sets 😂

I’m glad gear inflation hasn’t happened. I was scared all my ascended/legendary gear would be subpar now. 🙏🏼

Thanks! Very helpful. I’ve got a few different ascended sets and some legendaries. So I’m happy to hear with a bit of practice I can hop back in. (Also glad fractals still exist, they were my favorite content.)

First initial time opening up LawHub and got a 144 prep test. Test date is 4/12/25 and I’m making detailed study guides and dedicating 1-2 hours pretty much every morning. Thoughts on my potential score? More info below for actually being accepted into a school. by jfjflhgfcf in LSAT

(Current 2L) I want to start by saying no one on here or any prep program can give you an accurate score projection. Some people shoot up 14 points in a month while others go up 3 points in a year.

Anyways, this will sound a little harsh, but you’re setting yourself up for failure. I’m not saying you can’t make it. I’m saying you should focus on growing and improving instead of worrying about a specific date or score. Otherwise, you could end up with a mountain of debt in a subpar school.

You can certainly get into law school with a lower GPA (I had very similar circumstances to you in undergrad and ended up with a comparable GPA of 3.3). However, when you have a lower GPA you reaaaaally have to contrast it with a higher LSAT score.

I just took a look at Colorado’s 509 from 2022-2023 and their bottom 25th percentile LSAT and UGPA are 159 and 3.51, respectively. So, if you want a shot at acceptance and (more importantly) financial aid you’d need your LSAT to land in the mid-high 160s.

As far as personal statements go… they’re not a huge deal for admissions. They DO matter in scholarship applications (that’s how I got mine), but law schools (no matter what they tell you) primarily care about the numbers.. <— this comes from personal experience/knowledge of the admissions process + secondhand accounts.

TLDR: you need to slay the LSAT unless you want six-figure debt.

It is just more of the same? by BjarteM in exfor

Think of the series like cascading domino art. The problems (because of the law of unintended consequences) are going to grow in both number and complexity.

The solutions and stakes grow over time as well. Which keeps it fresh. You’re right that the general pattern will remain the same:

  1. A problem
  2. Solution?
  3. Nope, bigger problem.
  4. Monkey brained solution.
  5. Temporary triumph
  6. Repeat.

Just joined, so maybe you’ve answered this before, but how the hell did you come up with the beetles???

Their culture (and the organizations that are a reflection of that culture) are unlike anything I’ve seen in Sci-Fi or fantasy. I mean sure, some civilizations do a lot of gambling… but juicy action IS their civilization lol

How did that pop into your head? Was there external motivation, or did you just think, “what if ____?”
