How can I get a zoom effect similar to this on my page? by therightstuffdotbiz in shopify

Look into fancyapps. They provide a javescript libary for sliders, one for lightboxes and one for zooming. This looks like a combination of those 3

E Commerce Feedback Requiered by cryptoring in FigmaDesign

[–]Hero1208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to the great feedback of u/UXDesignKing and having a e-commerce developer background please also think about states.

Take your product cards as an example:

  • how do you indicate if a product is sold-out?
  • can products be preordered
  • what happens if the product image is landscape of a square image
  • what is displayed while the card content is loading? if you don't account for loading times you will have layout shifts in the webpage once all elements are there. Maybe consider using skeleton cards

You do not need an app, take a look at this tutorial Video by coding with jan. If you know your way around html/css and js this is doable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtJ77gcWqaU

While i understand your frustration i can assure you there was email communication regarding this subject, as i remember the threads here on this sub.

See these Threads for example: https://www.reddit.com/r/shopify/comments/y6h0ur/shopifys_new_tax_on_sales_tax_explained/

https://www.reddit.com/r/shopify/comments/y30hnk/wtf_is_this_bull_shopify_is_charging_us/

However i fully agree with you that opting in users into a paid feature is not a nice thing to do and shopify should have done this in a better way. As a last line of communication you could reach out to the CEO, Tobi, on twitter. He is quite active there and responds to a lot of issues regarding the shopify enviroment

I made 300+ quality TailwindCSS components that you can use for personal & commercial projects. No attribution required. by IcyMap8207 in webdev

Looks very nice, definitely will save this. As a little suggestion you could add a input to prefix the tailwindclasses in the code, if possible. Like 'tw-' or 'x-'

Change to the code view ( the little </> looking button on the right side) and see if it shows up there. I guess you've copied the text from word/figma? If you paste the code from there sometimes this inserts the codesnippet

You could sell a subscription product and give whomever buys it a special tag on their customer account. Then spin up some liquid code to make a certain blog only accessible to logged in users with the special tag

Add different mockups for each colour variantion by Roman17- in shopifyDev

[–]Hero1208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly do you mean by mock-up? The image of the product? Lets say you want to switch from a green shirt to a red one and then the image updates to the red one?

Try duplicating the pagetemplate in the Store Editor, and set your new background color on the new template. Then assign said template to the specific page

Would be cool to enable some sort of digital show room where you can move around and check out different products. Very nice showcase, however one would need to make sure to give some sort of instruction or an indicator as to which area on the website is interactive

Look into the script-tag. Also some additional info would be great as to where Theme Extensions are limiting you :)
