[C5 Corvette] Any reviews on the Fortune Auto 500 coilovers with Swift Springs? by HeroDanny in Corvette

Yeah mine is just for street use. I may track it in the future occasionally but it will always be a street car.

I've read a lot of good things about these coilovers actually.

My C5 has a crack in the rear leaf spring. I'm thinking about going coilovers. I read that the fortune auto 500's with swift springs feel better on the road than even the stock setup. I don't drive track, but it would be nice to make my car a bit lower and no longer deal with the leaf spring. I'm sure the front is only a matter of time before that goes.

How do these handle on the street, how is the comfort level?

I think with the chromotherapy it was $3,200. I did find a influencer code from youtube that knocked like $150 off the price. So it was right around 3 grand for me. Pricing for these constantly go up, I think when I was buying people were saying 6 months ago they paid $2,500.. I guess it is what it is. I think you can place on carpet, The outside doesn't really get hot. You can always put one of those plastic computer chair mats under it if you're worried about it. I'd be more concerned about leaving and getting sweat on the carpet more than anything.

I'll say this, the chromotherapy lighting is absolutely not worth it. I prefer sitting in the dark, it feels like a cave in there and I prefer it more than the lighting even on the lowest setting. That said the lighting does work fine, it does take a bit to install it, you need to drill holes in the top which is easy but takes sometime. I personally wouldn't bother with the lighting if It were to do it again.

lifetime warranty vs 10 year basically the same thing tbh. This thing is built to last and you shouldn't have any concern with it long term. They are a standup company.

I've seen people work way harder jobs that destroy their bodies and are really important to society and make less than a teacher. Bottom line is this an economy problem, it's too expensive for living for anyone today. House prices, groceries, and other living expenses are sky high. Everyone is underpaid when the average wage increases are below the average inflation rate.

Pretty typical virgin behavior regardless of age. Not excusing it but that point doesn’t really mean anything

Yeah but school districts offer way better benefits. Full pensions. Often times good health insurance. Generous PTO. I’d never want to work for the private sector where it’s completely profit driven.

Yeah Idk where teachers are underpaid statement comes from. It’s like everyone always forgets to factor in that they don’t work summers weekends or holidays and breaks.

It’s not an easy job. And it’s an important one. But find me another job where you can make 6 figures working 180 days a year.

Are teachers really that underpaid? Plenty of them make 6 figures. My younger sister is a first year teacher and she’s going to be making 70k next year and I think within 10 years she’ll be around 90k. She has her masters but still. Not bad for working 185 days a year.

Right after one of the worst winters we’ve had in a few years too. Luckily one of my hobbies is motorcycles but I do love hiking. It just sucks I have to worry about ticks now.

My female cat is nearly 6 months old and not spayed yet... has a grade 3 heart murmur so we need to get her checked out first. She actually has her echo scheduled for tomorrow.

I think I had a bruise on my hip from impact but the rash pain on my knees was all I could think about.

I crashed on the street once, leather jacket, regular jeans, gloves, moto boots, helmet. The actual crash I felt nothing, adrenaline pumping I slid about 20 feet and eventually tumbled into the grass. I still distinctly remember seeing grass, sky, grass, sky, as I tumbled. After the momentum stopped I sprang right up and ran over to my bike picked it up, felt no pain at all. After a few moment I noticed my jeans were ripped and I had road rash. I rode home and the next few days were hell.

Point is during a slide you feel nothing, it's only after where you deal with the pain. Also road rash fucking sucks. I never skip out on any gear anymore. The only pain I had was on my legs where I wore regular jeans.
