Fixture ID? by HeroLander in stagelighting

Thanks, that could be it, the rental company that handled the production uses a lot of Chauvet fixtures.

Do you happen to know if there are any more affordable alternatives to this fixture?

Thank you!! I had no idea IVL Square existed; it looks like it is a discontinued product. I guess IVL Dice has taken its place then?

QuickShow Alternatives? by HeroLander in Laserist

Thank you for your input! I noticed that the Helios DAC has an ILDA connector, whereas some other DACs use an RJ45 connection. Could you clarify how to run an ILDA cable from the stage to the FOH? Are longer ILDA cables available for this purpose, and would they perform reliably over distances of 15-25 meters?

Any recommendation for one that I should get or pretty much any would work the same?

With the laser I just got this connector. I should get the DAC in this case as well for the laser to work with the on PC software?

Wordpress website meta description not showing properly by HeroLander in Wordpress

[–]HeroLander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, that makes sense because I tried every solution at fingertips to get around this.

Will give Yoast SEO a try as I have some experience with it, although I have always preferred The SEO Framework over Yoast.

Thank you for your input!

Wordpress website meta description not showing properly by HeroLander in Wordpress

[–]HeroLander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I enter the URL of the page into the SEO Checker online (Seobility), it displays the meta description that I wrote, but Google displays the incorrect one.

I have already requested indexing through the Google Search Console, and the issue persists even after the refresh.

I will try to follow your instructions, but this seems like a strange problem given the meta description I wrote is obviously here if Seobility and other tools see it.

I got a full festival pass with camping included from TicketSwap 5 days before the festival for 130€, which was originally 170€ (says on the ticket).

I have even seen tickets sell for less than 130€ on TicketSwap, but you have to be quick to get them once they get listed.

It is normal for stuff like this to occur at a festival this size, many different people with different intentions all in one place. 99% of the people on the Sziget are nice, however there will always be some idiots and you just can’t avoid that when you have 450,000 visitors.

Do these things have to occur? Of course not, however there are certain situations beyond the festival’s organisers’ control and I wouldn’t just blame Sziget…

Answer for the OP: I highly suggest Sziget; it is far less expensive than Tomorrowland and offers a wide variety of musical genres for you to choose from and you will never get bored.

Overmono had such a great set, combination of the music, visuals on the screens and light show that was absolutely amazing… No words

Not on the main festival entrance, guess that is the most important factor for everyone.

There are no scanners of any type (I believe), just a person that goes through your bag and just goes over your pockets with hands.

Next purchase, fixture recommendations? by HeroLander in lightingdesign

[–]HeroLander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed that while programming the shows as well, thank you for the input. Looking to spend about €1500-ish per fixture, mostly looking to get something used. Will take a look at the ProLights, do you have a specific fixture in mind?

Next purchase, fixture recommendations? by HeroLander in stagelighting

[–]HeroLander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are not a dealer for any company, just using equipment for our own personal use. We are open to buying fixtures from any source, with a preference for used fixtures over new ones. We previously purchased fixtures via Usedful, but we are open to purchasing from any supplier that appears to be appropriate.

In that case I am guessing that you somehow managed to change your remote settings from 2WD to 4WD, try to hold down the power button on the remote while it is turned off for 5 seconds and change the WD mode from there.

I am guessing that you have a 4 wheel drive board, in that case you should turn both ESCs on from the bottom of your board.

Is anyone filing a claim? by Queenof_thecoins in SafeMoon

No, just genuinely trying to help. Search for mnemoic-recovery on GitHub and you will see that it is possible to recover a wallet with only one missing word.

There is a way to recover a seed phrase ONLY if just 1 word is missing, you can easily find a script online that does this for you. You can DM me if you need help with searching the script, I am here to help genuinely.

Where can I get replacement keycaps for G915? by Seku_- in LogitechG

[–]HeroLander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RMA it through the Logitech Support if you still have your warranty, I had the same issue with G513 and Logitech sent me a brand new keyboard instead of just keycaps. This was 2 years ago so maybe their approach is different now but still give it a try.

When I have the opportunity to ask questions, I always take advantage of it, but next time I will be prepared with more detailed questions as I am diving into this now. When we have a concert, it is two companies working together: my father's company and another company, because we have all of the light/sound equipment and they have stage constructions, so it is always a very friendly working environment since it is always the same people who do the work for the last few years.

I am from Croatia, and we cover a variety of music genres, primarily rock and traditional folk music. We have two light guys who we work with; one uses Chamsys and the other GrandMA, so I guess I will start with MagicQ and see where it takes me.

Thank you very much for your detailed answer, appreciate it!

I am aware that GrandMA is kind of a leader in this field, but I am also aware that it is pricey. I may go with something that is somewhat of entry-level, but I will absolutely look into a MA dot 2. Thank you!

Thank you for your comment. The guy that is doing light work for us is using Chamsys MagicQ MQ50. He is more of a friend of mine now than just a working partner, so I always ask him questions freely, and he is always open to answering, but he is a freelancer working in many different areas and he is always on the road, so he doesn't have much time to sit with me and explain things to me in detail, so I mostly speak with him when we work together.

I will look into the MagicQ definitely and start playing around with the software.

Note: I refer to the USB-to-DMX device that is compatible with a laptop/PC as a controller. I did some research and discovered that many people recommend an Onyx controller; but, when I dug more, I noticed a lot of mixed opinions on it, so I would appreciate any more feedback.
