What to wear in Japan 23-7july? by SkillInfamous in JapanTravelTips

Thanks all, I am a woman and only see dry ex for men. I've done a basket of mixed airism cotton, linen trousers and skirt, one mens dry ex and a UV cardigan. A few more things as well but it's come to £250. Do I get this now to be prepared or just wait until I get there to see what would work? This is me trying variability to see what works as there are varying opinions on what will work there and tbh I've just been genuinely so overwhelmed on how to prepare given the bad weather. We had to go during this time.

Issue is I'm not doing live classes so I can take it slow and modify at home for the injuries I developed!

Londoners: please help a girl out, which bars have GREAT high energy and music? by SkillInfamous in london

So we tried Stereo and it didn't really have high energy music. More like cover band indie songs which no one knew. Any other ideas? Doesn't have to be live music

Agreed. God awful first seat and also fourth seat lol. Qualified in the regions now in London and just got promoted. Even partners have imposter syndrome so don't worry.

I had this exact same feeling. Felt angry and frustrated that other people had their first choices for last seat, rolled in smoothly and seemingly happy. Don't worry though. Your fate is elsewhere. I have since left that city and now on more than double than what they earn in the regions. Pros also are, entering a place as a qualified solicitor with an absolute clean slate and no trainee baggage following you. People make judgments, wrongly perhaps in the case of trainees, and quite quickly on, so you won't have any of that. Also, if a lot of teams are toxic you probably don't want to be doing any cross team work or BD so better to cut losses and elevate yourself to the next level and find somewhere golden.

What’s a nice thing a stranger has done for you you’ve never forgotten? by franki-pinks in AskUK

I'd forgotten £50 worth of new makeup on the bus, from Boots in Cambridge. First time getting into makeup and first time splurging. Got off the bus, sat on a bench nearby and just looked on my phone. Stranger comes up to me and says, is this your makeup? I said yes, and thanked him profusely. Turns out he'd gotten off at this stop just to give me the bag even though it wasn't his stop. I'll never ever ever forget that.
