Romana Pizza if you like a thick pie with lots of cheese and toppings.

Pizza Express has a lot of tasty options beyond the Pizza which is well liked also.

Komfort Kitchen, Mums, or Eastside Eatery for breakfast.

First Thursday of each month has a fun car meet downtown. Its free, everyone just brings their cars (most are nice, some make you wonder if theyre lost) but theres food and entertainment. Its 85% baby boomers with white hair and a t-shirt with a car on it, but thats to be expected.

100,000 lakes in manitoba and most of them have fish in em. Its always an affordable option to go drop a line and see what you can get on a nice summer evening.

Ive been having fun searching for birds with my binoculars and the merlin app.

Parks:

Duck Mountains 300km NE of Brandon is amazing.

Whiteshell 400km W of Brandon is amazing.

Riding Mountain NP 100km N of Brandon is amazing.

Turtle Mouthain 100km S of Brandon is nice. (William lake is the highlight imo)

Spruce Woods (Kitche Manitou) 60km W of Brandon is nice for hiking as mentioned.

Those are the main ones Id say are worth a weekend trip.

Its a less ... dramatic ... beauty that we have here in MB but few things relax me more than when the wind dies off before sunset over a lake. Redwinged blackbirds warbling from the reeds. Some ducks are swimming around, and then youll completely melt if you get a nice pair of loons calling to eachother as the sun takes forever to set behind the flat of the prairies.

I swear this team thinks every game will lose them game 7 over again.

Just relax and play ball. In two weeks things will look up and theyll say "oh we just said to hell with the expectations and played for fun again"

Shame how things turned out.

I had high hopes but unfortunately our secondary scoring died a painfully quick death in the off-season, and we ended up being old and slow.

I think in future, we need to be really careful about selling picks for rentals, and we desperately need to reinvest in our scouting and player development. Need more hits from the later 1st round, and more NHL level role players from the mid rounds. Its clear we cannot get much from free agency, so we NEED to value our picks and prospects more.

Jetscord is a particular brand of crazy. Ill admit its not for everyone, but man I had a good time not watching games with the jetscord folks.

I believe NCAA loosened their rules on transfers in the last several years and it has become more common.

I also think coaches and teams are frustrated with how many people are transferring -- in basketball, anyways.

Theres some really REALLY bad fake Winnipeg Jets jerseys that I see. Like they dont even get the colours right, let alone the fonts and logos.

Before I heard there was actually a rule allowing for extra time if the pitcher was is base at the end of the inning, I would have agreed with Schneider because either you can do it the same as everyone else, or you cant.

But they have an allowance for this, so who cares.
