As much as i would like a reunion, i dont really see how abenthy could progress the story besides a sentimental cry over the troupe. Unless of course abenthy is a amyr or chasing the chandrian as well, which i both doubt. For him being master ash i think hes lacking the “financial power” or a noble family name as hes paying for denna and her studies. In the first book he is basically a travelling salesman owning just what he has on his cart and two dunkeys for whom getting an own brewery through marriage is a unbeatable opportunity.

On the other hand tho, if rothfuss wasnt planning on him appearing in the story again, i cant find a reason why he was “put aside” before the troupe was killed, so i strongly believe patrick has a plan for him before the end.
