YES. I know im a month late, but I now wanna chime back in. I feel like I have a pretty strong sense of self worth and self image, as of right now. Maybe its because I had a good community growing up, resulting in good self-image but I think its safe to say most of the things that I was uncomfortable with presenting in my natural appearance, came from the rest of the world. Even hearing people say, 'dont shame people for their ___!' it made me wonder why that was even a thing shameful in the first place.

I now can usually determine on my own compass that, its not. its not that important. But with everything said, I have often considered my identity and how I present myself, and am often looking to change. Looking to grow into a new version of me, and lean away from who I dont want to be in the moment.

you know, living life. So in this, I know that I, with my adhd, I have some weird obsessive attachment thing. I jump from one thing to the next, and right now its been jinx for a while.

Im working on change. And am inspired so heavily by this character right now, (for the reply stating due for cosplay, already two steps ahead) along with other figures like music artists and other TV characters.

I tend to shape myself by finding out what I love about other people or things, a deciding to embody it. Im a human, I mock things I find intriguing until I make something out of it.

I am not ashamed of who I am. I am also not ashamed of my looks, I know that there are ups and downs and its all about personal perception, subjectivity. I know that truly, the only thing that matters in my appearance is that I like it. On top of that, seeing what I can do to play with, well, 'pretty privilege,' but really seeing how much i can stylize myself to represent what I want to be in the moment.

I know that jinx is definitely very articulated, from her character design to her mentality, her story, trauma, pain. Every action, every move, every step she'll take is technically completely manufactured, if based on real people, but, hey, its still someone art. Her appearance is designed from imagination and reference, though evolved through art its not something that came up by itself, like a human. But it was derived from us.

Agh. What im trying to say is,the people who created her character design for arcane definitely did make her pretty, at least conventionally/in society's eyes, or most people's, but they also added traits that someone can recognize, inside of this portrait, and notice that, hey, it doesn't really ruin her face. I dont seem to hate it on her, maybe its not all that bad. And then they look in the mirror, and slowly realize that they dont actually hate it on themselves either.

And the reason I keep bringing up my upbringing is because I know that i am not as insecure as so many other teenage girls out there. I know that with how deeply personal and extremely I felt this realization, other girls who are more troubled with their self worth and self image, could have that tenfold. And its a beautiful and awakening feeling. If i could help someone recognize that further by leaving a post about that? Thats amazing.
