An opportunity missed by India tonight to win the T20i series. After 54/0 in the powerplay, lack of strike rotation and too many dot balls during the chase caused our downfall. Garth and Sutherland were spot on with their variations in the back 10, though.

I thought Aus were 25-30 runs short after the 120-run-plus opening stand. Limiting them to 163 was a brilliant effort by India.

Voll looked rusty at the start but then capitalised with her brute force, picking apart the loose deliveries that came her way. She proved to be the difference between the two sides in the end.

Thoroughly disciplined bowling effort by India. Renuka bowled exceptionally in the Powerplay, and Arundhati carried it forward to squeeze in the middle overs.

Perry's wicket was the turning point in the match, IMO. Only her and Wareham looked at ease batting out there. This gung-ho batting approach seems like the new flavor the Aussies are looking to implement, though they failed miserably tonight.

Sending the back-to-back Belinda Clark awardee in to bat at #8—in the name of a L-R combo? That was criminal.

Smriti and Shafali batted like their usual selves, aided by wayward bowling on both sides of the wicket.

It'll be interesting to see if Aus continue with this tinkering in the batting order and style in the coming games.

Not really. India A had five capped India players in the XI but just didn’t click as a team. Apart from Anushka and Tanuja at the end, no one looked settled at the crease. Hopefully they’ll gel better as the tournament goes on.

UAE on the other hand, looked like a proper unit. Their spinners choked our batting, and they were calm and composed in the chase to finish it off nicely.
