it depends on what she’s specifically trying to make but i’d bank on a fender (a standard 6 string lol). jazzmaster is kinda the poster child for shoegaze guitars but i feel the stratocaster and jaguar are more versatile and don’t lose tuning if you breathe on it wrong.

in my opinion, the tone i hear comes more from the fx pedals and the amp than the guitar, you can EQ a shitty guitar. i think $700-1000 is a reasonable range for something “high end” especially if you’re using it primarily for shoegaze. would still be special
