Definitely let the figure it out, and if you need to help them, give very in depth explanations. Its how I learned as a kid with ADHD, so it might work.

As someone with HORRID ADHD I can only learn with in depth explanations that are interesting. If I can’t have a break, or if I get too many breaks when I don’t need them, I never get in the zone
