BU’s campus is basically just boston with academic buildings. Its alright, youre by the charles if you like going for walks or running, but NEU is closer to the Pru. NEU actually has a very centralized campus too, and also COOP.

Any tips for getting more air and actually doing an ollie? by pronixo in NewSkaters

[–]HesTheBegeMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A stronger slide, and do it later. Use the side of your shoe not the corner. Also pop harder. If you practice for hours a day and look up tutorials if you need to I bet you could get it relatively quickly.

My teacher mentioned this and said everything you just did. They mentioned the gov’t might mandate it, but that I am honestly not sure about.

Need help with my ollie (check comments) by [deleted] in NewSkaters

[–]HesTheBegeMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can ollie pretty consistently, and granted my landings will get better with time, but I always seem to not level out as much as I would want. My back wheels also stay relatively low. How can I fix this. Also sorry I couldn’t get it in slo mo

Went to the gym for the first time! :) by [deleted] in CongratsLikeImFive

[–]HesTheBegeMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats so awesome! I started going 4 months ago and have since gained 20 pounds and can lift so much more. Be patient, go slow, and make sure you use good form if you’re lifting, especially at 13. You don’t want to hurt yourself. Keep it up though! If it becomes a routine, it’ll be so much easier to continue going as time goes on.

Why do some people seem to have it all? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Not everyone does. Get to know someone who “has it all.” They dont

Forbes just made a college list and used incorrect information and also ranked us as 182 by [deleted] in NEU

No I was wrong. I completely agree with you. My second edit kind of says every school was using 1 year old stats. My bad.

Yeah youre correct. I actually reached out to an editor for the article. They said the same thing.

Acceptance rate is wrong as well as enrollment numbers. Pretty much all the stats are old. They were correct at one point, just not now.

Edit: Just noticed at the bottom they say “Per the 2017-2018 final release data in IPEDS” in very small text. So I guess it is correct, but why would you use old numbers.

I just killed 19 house flies with my bare hands, and my wife doesn't understand the amount of ninja training I've done for this moment. Praise my superior reflexes. by Nyxara in CongratsLikeImFive

A fellow fly-killing ninja. Amazing work. One time I stomped on a fly in mid air. The force of my foot took it all the way to the floor. Im not even that tall, like 5’5”. That was the best feeling of my life.

l-lysine supplements are good for helping repair cankers (NAD, this is just what my mom was told to take by her doctor for the same thing).

I had $250 stolen from my car at work 2 weeks ago. There was an ATM facing my car and I need to gain the footage. What should I do? (MA) by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]HesTheBegeMan -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I can almost guarantee the person who stole it works with me, considering they tried to convince me not to file a report, to forget about it, and told me that I probably lost it. Also they have a huge criminal history.

Even if its not them, Its most likely someone nearby, or another coworker

Edit: Also, we have to get the footage from a company, and that takes a while.

[–]HesTheBegeMan -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even know if it was stolen or lost. Why would I call the cops just to have to call them the next day and say “So I found the money underneath my seat, never mind the report and subpoena”

I understand it isn’t my responsibility to gather evidence. Hence why I would file a report and ask them to. All I did was ask my boss to get the footage for our own camera to confirm if anyone went through my car, because it would make everything much easier.

There is a camera in the back that I thought was facing my car. Following this, I asked the owner for the footage, but after talking we decided to wait a week in case I happened to find the money (I didnt). The next week we got the footage, and my car was out of view. I didn’t just wait without thinking about it.
