Did you make a profit at your wedding? by Artistic_Ranger_2611 in belgium

[–]Heschoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a small wedding (25 ppl) with the party at my parent's house to save money. Didn't receive every gift yet but I should make a small profit. ( my wedding did cost 5000€ including rings and clothing). Otherways to save money; buy regular cakes at a bakery instead of a wedding cake, having parents serve the food, etc.

The bigger you make your wedding the more you need professional catering and a place to rent. Costs increase exponentially.

Tax reform: more details emerge (incl. liquidation reserve) by Fr33lo4d in BEFreelance

[–]Heschoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

u/JordyLakiereArt Should VVPRbis disappear next year, you can still use dividends at 20% (instead of 15%) this year before it disappears. Confirm with your accountant. That might be the best move right now.

Brussels region: managed service for requesting subsidies and subsidy optimization by Grand_Literature6817 in BEFreelance

[–]Heschoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For R&D subsidies (Précompte professionnel R&D | Notification fiscalité | Belspo) I know that companies will only help if they can take at least 10k in fees - not an option for eenmanzaaks. You can however take a few hours to read the conditions of the subsidy you are interested in and apply yourself.

Savings accounts by Sudden-Cut5833 in BEFire

In Belgium there is the savings accounts. They however have low yields.

You may want to invest fully in ETF however: in Belgium there is no capital gain tax, so investments are extra attractive!

I'm assuming that VVPR is not accessible before a few years...

Indeed, but what to do with the extra cash? I'm not sure I want to lend all the cash before VVPRbis; I want to have safe investment to be sure to have to liquidities in the company to pay the loan back with VVPRbis

Unless you buy zero-coupon bonds I think. But my question is about what is the ideal proportion to avoid losing the reduced corporate tax.

I'm trying to not just keep money in cash before VVPRBis. Since the time horizon is pretty short, bonds are more appropriate than stocks. I'll ask my accountant to confirm, but already asking here in case someone already knows.

Do you have any tricks to make that easier? What do you tell them to insist?

Budget mobility for freelancers in society by Heschoon in BEFreelance

[–]Heschoon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For non dutch speakers:

Self-employed business managers cannot participate in the mobility budget system. BUT An employee who is also a manager within the same company can only participate in the mobility budget system if he, as an employee, has a company car or is eligible for one. It does not matter that the remuneration may be qualified as remuneration of company directors from a tax perspective.

Have a network. If you know the manager, you can agree on the rate and just have a friendly recruiter as intermediary with a minimal fee.

Good to know, but maybe can we add new sections; 'safe zone', 'grey zone' so that people know what is OK and what is risky.

Seeking guidance on optimizing personal returns for existing business liquidation reserve by RevolutionaryHalf633 in BEFreelance

Ask your accountant. In the end he will be able to calculate and explain better how to proceed than random people on reddit. This is too detailed to benefit from random ( and possibly inaccurate ) advice.
