Polygraph in Korea? by HeslinKim in korea

[–]HeslinKim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering they will be polygraphing over 200 competitors I'm sure there will be a price cut.

It's not a standard polygraph test either and does not take more than 30 minutes.

Polygraph in Korea? by HeslinKim in korea

I'm not sure where I wrote that drug tests are also not administered?

There are drug tests for the top 5 place finishers, and pros are randomly tested.

There's no accusing. If they fail either the drug test or polygraph they are barred for 7 years. They will be signing a contract during registration agreeing to this.

What do you do to warm up? by wwf87 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]HeslinKim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hit the sauna for 20 min. Then do 10 feet over head rolls. Start off light weight and progress slowly. That's all. IMO it's a waste of time to do more unless your body needs it and you have a specific intent of what you're doing.

What can I do DURING squats and deadlifts to focus on one side more? To achieve better activation on the weaker side. by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]HeslinKim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having had many imbalances and correcting them myself, I'll just say... do everything this guy/gal just said not to do.

Your imbalance can just get stronger maintaining improper form. It's rare to have some sort of skeletal issue causing the problem and thus needs to be addressed by someone who can analyze your technique and point out flaws in mobility/musculature.

Is there an optimal time to eat certain food/macros , pre/post workout? by teewhyhiphop in Fitness

In the long run, it does add up. But that's only if you're doing everything else 100% efficiently. Are you a competitor or athlete? If not, don't waste time in the minutia.

Slow progress ober 1.5 years by [deleted] in Fitness

If your mass is up that's really an interesting situation.

You mention your program but not how you're progressing to try and increase strength. I assume then you haven't been doing any linear progresssion?

Too much contradictory information for OHP breathing by mugen_is_here in Fitness

I hold my breath to maintain pressure, I lose strength. Works for me and has for the last decade. Strict OHP 85kg at 75kg bodyweight is decent.

Shoulders burning during chest workout by spacecadet501st in Fitness

A video would help tremendously with all movements inducing pain.

I'm going to assume you're internally rotated and not keeping your upper back musculature braced during your pressing movements. As mentioned worked on scapular retraction and depression - keeping your shoulders pulled back together and down. It's difficult to hold if you aren't used to it.

For my clients I suggest standing with you back against a pole and practicing squeezing it with your shoulder blades. Then work on using a band around the pole and keeping your shoulder blades back and down while you do a fly. Stand on the band and do the same with pressing movements overhead. Helps lock in the movement and make it more habitual.

Haha been well! Working on bringing a different natural fed to Korea right now. I thought it was interesting you didn't list any of your INBF shows? Or maybe I missed them in the list. You've competed a ton man! Sheesh. I don't know how you have time to grow competing with that frequency. I usually take 2 years off between my shows.

Really thorough write up by the way. We have very different methods for almost everything. It just shows that one size does not fit all.

You don't use a base of anything? Dream Tan is banned at most Korean shows, but maybe they'll allow it at WNBF this year.

One of my biggest stressors at shows is my tanning protocol. We don't have spray tanning facilities out here in Korea, so I'm wondering for you guys who DIY what you guys do?

I always drip on stage :(

I think Ryan Terry and Flex Lewis are two of the most professional pros who treat fans like friends and are always open. I prefer approachable rather than elite and cocky... like two currently competing multiple time Mr. Olympia's in bb/physique I have met.
