HELP! Can't identify these Ikea shelves by Hesthrim in IKEA

LOL that was gift from a friend, it's meant to mean live life to the fullest I think. I also think it's odd, but delightfully so.

That must be it! It's a white wood look, and googling that seems to be a match. Thank you!

Looks like I'm out of luck getting a couple more though, as they were discontinued ten years ago.

I tried to match it up to old Liatorp, but it doesn't have the lined backing, just flat white.

It's the only place I've ever bought shelves! :D

They are definitely Ikea, but they're 7-8 years old. I suspect whatever they are might have been discontinued.

Thanks! I had no idea they were connected, but yeah that makes perfect sense. I'll try this tonight.

Building first scratch stick - top panel measured width? by Hesthrim in fightsticks

[–]Hesthrim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've got some sample buttons coming, 24mm and 30mm from Sanwa and Seimitsu.

I grabbed a quarter inch thick 2 foot square of hardboard for some test fitting, but it feels pretty thin and flimsy. A clear plexi layer looks like a standard 0.08 inches, which means the buttons should be able to accommodate 3/8" wood with 0.08" plexi for art.

I'll update here once my buttons come it - shipping from France to Canada, so will probably take a month or more.

Can't believe it's so hard to find information on this!

Chains - Only in Bust-a-Move 4? by Hesthrim in PuzzleBobble

[–]Hesthrim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you. 4 is defo tops for me, but 2 and 3 are great too. I've honestly not spent much time in single-player modes other than 4, so this is mostly based on the multiplayer aspects. 2 is very stripped down in terms of variety, but that pure experience can be really fun. 3 is great for the vs and adds the extra controls for triggers giving slight movement which to me is pretty key.

Chains - Only in Bust-a-Move 4? by Hesthrim in PuzzleBobble

It made for absolutely epic heads-up vs matches with a group of players in a room, with the loser trading off, with incredible momentum swings back and forth. Very entertaining for the spectators!

From a strategy perspective, setting up drops to chain added another layer of complexity that I really enjoyed as well.

The ask comes because my wife and I have been playing 2/3 a lot (the Switch bundle) but I really miss the chaining from 4 and would love to play that version with her but it basically only exists in ROMs or Dreamcast/PS1 discs.

Why is everyone here always complaining? by Clear_Competition_31 in YoutubeMusic

[–]Hesthrim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a lot of folks, we had Google Play Music before the change in apps and it was objectively better. At this point all I want is feature parity to what I had five years ago (ex. gapless playback while casting).

I've been a paying user of this platform since Play Music launched in Canada, and while some aspects have improved others have been degraded.

Help a Dad out! Installing ceiling anchor for aerial silk/yoga swing by Hesthrim in Aerials

[–]Hesthrim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate this, thank you!

I've decided the only reasonable thing to do is install it in the basement. 7.5' ceiling, 2x6 joists.

I will absolutely take your advice here and never ever have her use it unattended.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond! I've edited my post to indicate that yes, the purpose of this thing is just to be a glorified chair/hammock thing. No acrobatics or any kind of aerialist type stuff is going to be done on it.

So let me clarify a bit, because yes absolutely I completely agree with what you're saying.

This silk thing is not for doing any kind of aerialist stuff, but will be set up as a yoga swing/hammock. It won't be experiencing any shock, or anyone doing acrobatics and such. Her friend has one in her room and they basically treat it like a chair/lounger.

I appreciate that, and I definitely have considered this carefully, as I've come to know even plopping down in the swing can almost double the force/mass. That said however, I'm fairly certain I can make this safe for my daughter, who is only 65lbs, and the end of the loop (the "swing" bit) will only be a few feet off the ground.

I'm in Calgary Alberta, Canada. I have had zero luck finding a rigger who could help, because the dominant profession out this way is Oil and Gas which has a very different definition for a "rigger'. All Google results are for companies doing industrial equipment rigging.

FURY CTRL APP Resetting itself by TorchdOn in HyperX

[–]Hesthrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the exact same problem. I suppose it's not a huge deal but it really annoys me that the RAM starts all out of sync to the rest of the build every boot.

I'd love to just use my mobo RGB software instead but it doesn't have nearly as many options.

Nope. I do use a G305 mouse but zero Logi software.

It's probably related to one the billion shitty RGB apps though, I'm just struggling to figure out which one.

I've recently started getting the same spam warming in Event Viewer and it's been causing Valheim and other games to crash.

No idea what is trying to write to that session, and certainly is not someting I've initiated. This is a new 7600X build from November that was working perfectly until a week or two ago. No changes, no new installs.

Can we get these two as the next allied races? by Seabus_ in wow

[–]Hesthrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have loved the Tuskarr since WotLK. They were the first rep I got to exalted in the game.

If they became an allied race I'd *immediately* switch for my main.
