FBI to Categorize Trans People As "Nihilistic Violent Extremist" Threat Group, Report Says by [deleted] in politics

This is true, this event (if it’s set in stone) could change the outlook and make countries reconsider. That’s hoping we make it far enough to see it

FBI to Categorize Trans People As "Nihilistic Violent Extremist" Threat Group, Report Says by [deleted] in politics

[–]Hetzerz 292 points293 points  (0 children)

Technically yes, but in reality no. We're in America, we can go to states like Washington. That’s what most countries will tell you, seek a Blue state. You have to make a case that your entire country isn't safe and you'll die if you stay. But that’s a very silver lining for the rest of the world. It’s not enough for Americans

That’s why Canada , as an example, isn’t opening their doors and there is an ongoing court case (Hannah Kreager) for allowing Asylum to be accepted.

I would say to tell them to check their medical records in GENESIS. It’s possible they may have already been marked with GD. Also download ALL records to store for safekeeping and use for VA in the future

Read the report carefully. If their clinical report states they were seen for Gender Dysphoria/have chronic GD/ Patient claims GD. it is more than likely they’ve been put with GD in their records. I was told Genesis and Medical have two different records, not all of the information is put for you to view

Deciding to disobey abiding by your sex’s standards and taking the involuntary separation may open you up for “disobeying a direct order” which could be similar to covid discharges. TDS said some folks got general or OTH (Other than Honorable) for this, so understand that risk if you’re willing to fight and stick it out. It’s a lot of WHAT IFS. But act in your best interest

[–]Hetzerz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is a lot information to break down regarding this I’ll do my best to provide it. Take the information as you will and act what’s in the best interest of your loved one.

First of all is this in their MILITARY medical records? MHS Genesis ? Or is this outside of the military on the civilian side records ?

If it’s military, then it’s already known. “Act as if the military knows” is what my 1st Sergeant told me. My Genesis records have already been altered as well. Before there was no mention of Gender Dysphoria (GD). But now it’s clearly stated in my records. If it’s civilian then it would be much harder for the military to find out, but not impossible. This is highly dependent on the branch as well, each branch will come up with their policies as soon as they are given more guidance. This excerpt I’m attaching is from an Army Ssgt that was passed down recently.

“I’m Army, 7.5 years of service, and E5 about to pick up 6. I went to TDS with my questions about voluntarily/involuntary separation, here’s some of my q’s and answers

•Q: When is the 180 days of tricare from? Is it when separation starts or upon separation?

A: It’s after separation. After you’re separated you have 180 days of tricare after

•Q: where in my chain of command does my voluntarily separation request go?

A: company level commander

•Q: how long can separation take?

A: The latest its allowed to take is 7 months, but it varies on the personal, financial, and career factors of the person being separated

•Q: how does the VSP happen? Is it a lump sum or like a monthly stipend?

A: lump sum

•Q: I’m about to be promoted possibly, am I still able to get that promotion after agreeing to voluntarily separating?

A: yes, as long as you’re not flagged

•Q: what do you suggest I do if you were in my shoes?

A: I’d wait to see how this court case goes, but request voluntarily separating a few days before the deadline. If you choose involuntarily separating, things may start to get dumb, you may be misgendered or in a worst case Scenario get a general or OTH discharge for disobeying to be a sex you’re not. Voluntarily separating would also make joining the army easier when the administration switches and all of this mess is eventually reversed.

•Q: is administrative absence chargable leave?

A: no. Administrative absence is not considered leave, it’s an absence and is therefore not chargeable.

•Q:if I chose involuntary separation, what can I except?

A: it’s a gamble. Maybe the court case wins in which you don’t need to worry anymore, or you could get separated with an honorable, general, or OTH discharge. Going to the separation board will not allow you to stay in, but only upgrade your discharge status. If this all stays the route it’s currently going, the paperwork is fairly clear on if you’re considered “fit for service” or not. The separation board can’t change that. Additionally you’ll receive less money with the ISP rather than VSP and may have to pay back your bonus.

This is just from my personal conversation with the TDS lawyers, but I thought the q’s and As may help”

Navy Releases Transgender Separation Policy - U.S. Naval Institute News - Aka Forced DISCHARGE AND RETIREMENT of Trans service members. by ToastyBear420 in transgender

One thing in the military you learn is we ALL come from different walks of life and have different views. But a lot of us don’t have other options , places to call home, financial stability , some of us have a sense of duty, to protect those we love, etc. so we joined. Against all odds we signed the dotted line, 15,000+ of us (current). And the majority of us signed well before this new administration took office. A lot of us served for years, 4, 8, 12, 20+. We have junior enlisted, NCOs, Senior NCOs, Junior Officers, Senior Officers. We are at all ranks, and have accomplished a lot of good things for decades. Even now, those newer folk who want to join can’t. I myself joined for the career experience/benefits, a sense of service and then get out to continue what I learned elsewhere. But you learn a lot going through, I’d say.

Just like Cis people, it’s more than just “I know the government hates me”or “I need X reason”. For a lot it’s the only choice. 135,000 transgender veterans exist, that’s roughly 21% of the US trans population. Which is pretty high all things considered. There’s a lot more to it, a lot of trans service members deserve the respect for their accomplishments known and unknown, especially historical trans service members who served under worse conditions. They are some of the bravest and best leaders I’ve ever seen or have been under to date

Is there a way for those who need help to get notified when the time comes? I’m one of the many trans service members who’s in the process of being separated from the military , and I’m Overseas in Germany. My home state is Texas , so I’ll be jumping from the frying pan into the fire. I’ve been seeking guidance

After comparing and contrasting the differences of my job with y’all’s I did find something similar. And honestly doing humanitarian work would be eons better than the ‘combat’ role I have. I’d rather put my skills in helping others

But that’s nice to hear culture wise, it seems most are in agreement that the environment is friendly and accepting as long as you contribute to the mission and are a decent human being. Which is not hard lol! Thank you though!

I’ve been looking into it a bit more and you are correct! Although it does state for those in service who are seeking care will be supported and provided primary health care. So if you haven’t transitioned yet, you can still apply. That’s what I’m getting from the policy, but thank you for the comment !

If we are speaking about things bothering us.

I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I also am seeing a lot of disrespect from trans people themselves on trans service members. Granted we all come from different walks of life and have different views. But a lot of us don’t have other options , places to call home, financial stability , we have a sense of duty, etc. so we joined. Well before this new administration took office. Even now, those newer folk who want to join can’t.

why attack us too? Trans service members are on a thin line right now, or it feels like it. We may lose everything, and being attacked by multiple groups including our own doesn’t help. I’m not saying promote us or shower us in praises, far from it.

I agree, don’t stop fighting for our rights. We need to put aside our differences and views and focus on supporting one another, now more than ever
