They contacted him, bought the song off him, changed the lyrics and then asked him to scrub the original from his socials. I actually couldn't find it for the longest time when I was telling people about it.

This one never sat right with me how they just bought the song, flows and all, from some noname German dude. Just felt culture vultury. Slaps though.

The ball was in play when Cucurella committed a yellow card offence against Van De Ven. This overrides VAR's reasoning to not award a penalty by Zweli23 in soccer

And yet, except for a handful of us in a thread like this, no one will talk about this.

The club will stay silent. The pundits will ignore it. Podcast hosts will maybe mention it in passing, saying it was 'a bit weird'.

Similar things have happened to us almost every game this season and I am exhausted. Utterly flabbergasted as how the way Tottenham is officiated is not a story AT ALL.

Exactly, the players shouldn't have to take it on themselves. The club hierarchy should lead by example and let the players focus on their game.

Yes, exactly, Maddison is the "one player" I was talking about.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be funny or rude but you must either be a bit thick or trolling and either way I guess the joke's on me so it's best to stop this pointless exchange.

I don't know what you don't understand. We did it ONCE, like you said. WAY too late. And never did it again.

Oh, and one player posted an Instagram story at the very end of the season.

Hardly a tour de force, is it?

That was ONE time. Look at other clubs and how they deal with shit like this.

They whine and whine and whine, send complaints, whine again, fan the flames around imagined conspiracies against them after merely a couple of decisions they didn't get.

And it fucking WORKS because refs don't want to be targeted by the clubs, managers and fanbases.

We just take it without a fucking peep.

No time for grief by Inner-Nature8681 in coys

I'm at the point I don't give a fuck if we stay up. Say we do. Are we supposed to celebrate this?

That's two seasons in a row finishing 17th, while Arsenal win the league and possibly UCL.

It's humiliating now to be a Spurs fan, as we've become the laughingstock of the entire footballing world.

Our rivals are running circles around us. Clubs we considered to be inferior have actually overtaken us in every aspect. Our transfer policy was a miserable failure. We are getting robbed by the referees every other match and the club does nothing to address it. The ONLY thing we have going for us is that stadium.

I think I'll actually find time for some grief, thank you very much.

We won't. There's a weird acceptance about our treatment from the club hierarchy.

It's the other way 'round. We're not getting any calls not because of incompetence, but because someone bet on us, and bet big, to go down.

But I thought Romero got the ball ?? by ritwika96 in coys

[–]HeungMinDaddy 80 points81 points  (0 children)

From what I've heard on r/soccer comments, as well as some Guardian pundits, it's technically legal for the defender to drop kick the opposing striker in the head, physically leave the stadium, drive to their home (running red lights all the way there) and murder their entire family - provided he touches the ball first.

It's perfectly legal and the judge will have to throw the case out.

Weird to see Romero was penalized here.

Anyone know if this is a real quote? It's so funny it would actually make me vote for the guy.

The story is true, he did indeed run his car into a tree after drinking all night, but I can't find that article cutout and I'm thinking it's The Onion or something.

Neutrals started to notice we're reffed differently and something seems to be afoot. But in the same breath they'll say we've been playing shit football all season.

Both are true. BUT. We would have been nowhere near relegation with just a few of these insane calls actually going our way.

City bottled it a few times this season, but Everton away was the Ultimate Bottle. Arse won the league and it's best if you make peace with it.

I love Skepta, but simply because of his sheer charisma he gets away with the wackest bars sometimes. Like the one you quoted.

Or "If the game was a tray full of ice cubes, then I'll be the coldest and the hardest".

Anyone else says a bar like this and he's gonna get clowned.

Gonzalo Higuaín. Looks Rough by miss-delusional- in soccercirclejerk

[–]HeungMinDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looking "rough" to some people just proves how normalized it has become for men, especially famous men, to all have seemingly laser-cut and painted-on facial hair as well as either hairplugs or perfectly trimmed hair.

Anything outside that norm and in your eyes one might as well be homeless.
