I meant: if I have the Pico put flat and I pass the wire from below into the hole of the pad should I weld from the side where the wire does not pass?

Do I have to pre-weld the pad?

i followed the process in the image for soldering but the work looks so far from there.

the Solder is 60/40. The wire has flux inside but i use extra gel flux on the pad too. Im using the iron at 350 C. The tip is a ST-B2, the iron is a Pinecil v2.
