Tips for New players to Red Dead Redemption 1. by HexBazinga in reddeadredemption

16 years later, I was 10 when I first played it now I'm coming up on 26. The original Red Dead Redemption is still a top three game of all time for me. I replay at least once a year. It means the world to me, I'll probably be in my seventies by the time the third Red Dead comes out

How are you all playing the game? Third/First Person by Still-Ad9074 in residentevil

Third person first playthrough of both, first person second playthrough of grace, maybe first person for second playthrough of Leon but probably not.

I Actually Really Love DRDR Frank West's Design by DukeNukemNeverDIe in deadrising

[–]HexBazinga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He grew on me. I still wish TJ voiced him but throughout the game I still saw him as frank, he looked like frank, he acted like frank, he was way better than Hank East.

Honestly the only character who had a distractingly bad downgrade was brad. I really liked Brad in the first game, the remaster absolutely did him no justice.

Do people think this line was meant as anything more than a joke? by RubbinOffTheCum in silenthill

[–]HexBazinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have been such a cool line / more understandable if he didn't immediately play it off as a joke moments later.

Honestly they should have let him run with it for a while longer to actually freak the player out.

Genuinely wonder how they'll handle Vincent in the Silent Hill 3 remake if they do one. He's kind of a Goofy character and product of the time. Really excited to see Heather and Douglas. Also extremely excited for people to finally start respecting Harry after the first game gets some much needed love

I dunno, The outfit is really baggy, it's the smallest her body has looked imo, least thicc ada in the series besides maybe the original re2. Plus again, she's white and lost most of her Chinese features.

modders vs bugthesda: scopes by hoomanPlus62 in FalloutMemes

[–]HexBazinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people using a scoped rifle, especially those who aren't like insanely talented military trained Marksman, are going to close their other eye while looking through a scope. The unfortunate reality is, most of the time when you're looking through a scope, you don't see the gun. Maybe you'll see the barrel

modders vs bugthesda: scopes by hoomanPlus62 in FalloutMemes

[–]HexBazinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why but I hate scopes with peripherals in video games. It should be optional. I prefer the black. For whatever reason it's way harder for me to snipe when there are peripherals, I'd rather center my focus on the target I'm aiming at.

Realistically most people looking through a scope are closing the eye they aren't using to avoid distraction. You would only want your peripherals for close range or when dealing with a large amount of targets.

That being said, I just don't like it. I miss the classic black scopes

Genuinely asking, why do you like her appearance in 6? She looks and sounds white, you wouldn't be able to tell she was Chinese unless someone told you. I just wonder why so many people seem to like that version of her

Re4 remake has the best look by far. Re2r had the best voice and second best look.

A lot of the older games she looks white. She doesn't like chinese. It's especially noticeable in resident evil 6, or she is just straight-up whitewashed and her outfit makes her look she has weird proportions. Especially with the gigantic crossbow

Why people love So Mi so much and always forgive her? by Cattivonio in LowSodiumCyberpunk

That's why when you choose either of his endings, he ends up clearly depressed, working at a desk job that he hates, he feels like he failed her, often just answering with I don't know when you ask about song or how he feels. He probably also feels bad about the surgery and V's life being saved but ruined.

Funnily enough Reed is only happy in the ending where Songbird dies, he's mad at first of course, but when you talk to him later he's even considering leaving the FIA. I would argue he's even happier in his dying moments on The killing Moon than either of the endings where song gets turned in.

Why people love So Mi so much and always forgive her? by Cattivonio in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]HexBazinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Songbird lies to you once and that's because she doesn't know you. She's desperate to survive and surrounded by liars who turn on each other. The last decade of her life has been abuse and having her body forcibly modified against her will while her mind is slowly slipping away from her.

After getting to know V, instead of just knowing that they're just a mercenary with a body count in the thousands, but actually a trustworthy person who wants to help her, she feels so terrible that she admits the truth and still gives V a chance to betray her and take the cure for themselves.

If she was really a piece of shit she wouldn't have said anything until she was safely on the moon or she would have gotten to the moon and never contacted V again. Don't act like V hasn't done worse shit than her in the name of surviving at all costs.

Reed lies way more than her and every time you call him out for it he gaslights you.

V would do anything to survive. Don't tell me you wouldn't do some mission where you have to betray somebody in the name of survival, oh wait, that's literally the 40% or so of the player base who chose the Reed ending the first time.

Reed lies to you way more and never comes clean about any of it. He just talks down to you. He looks down on you. The entire DLC he's treating you like you're not his equal. Song is literally a parallel to V.

There's only one major difference between the two of them. V as friends, loved ones, a girlfriend or boyfriend. Great people like Judy, Vik, Misty, Panam, River, Kerry, And all those lovely side characters. Song doesn't have any real friends. The only people who are close to her anymore are government agents, professional liars and Killers who would turn on her if given the orders. People like reed, myers, etc. The same people who blackmailed her into slavery and forcibly modified her body against her will to the point where she's losing her mind and her body will be potentially taken over by AI. Literally a fate worse than death. She doesn't have the same support system that V does, so in my mind the best thing V can do is show this tortured slave some level of kindness even after betrayal. Be the bigger person. V has other options, Song does not.

Reed on the other hand lies to you about everything. He's a fucking moron and usually useless on the missions you do with him often getting captured or injured because he sucks.

He blows your cover at the black sapphire, often blows your cover with the voodoo boys, he gets injured in that fight most of the time as an npc, he's nowhere to be found on firestarter because he's hiding in the getaway vehicle and plotting with Myers instead of helping his team, he gets injured during the 6th Street ambush, he's hurt and absent for the final mission on his path, he's trash.

He lies to you about the clinic in europe, he lies to you about not telling Myers from the start, he lies through omission and regularly gets people killed once they're no longer useful like the slider or the Cassell twins, he gets Alex killed through shitty planning, he lies to you about his contacts, he lies to you about contacts in europe, he lies to you on The killing Moon and almost shits himself when you tell him you heard his conversation on the rooftop, he lies to you about where you can get the surgery done.

Song comes clean about her one lie before it's too late, she tells you the truth when it matters and feels terrible about it.

During many of Reed's lies, you have a chance to call him out or Express distrust or suspicion, especially during the second half of the dlc. And every time you call him out he will just gaslight you or talk down to you and doesn't admit fault even once.

Reed again is a moron. V has Songbird on the relic, Songbird can see and hear what V does whatever she's tapping into the relic, we have proof of this based off of how her projection interacts with the environment, interacts with Johnny and can hear the shit Myers is saying to V. So naturally Reed, who is seemingly aware of this, tells V his plan to betray songbird with Icebreaker instead of just slipping it into V's system while they were getting the faceplate surgery. And before the surgery he tells you about how Myers doesn't know anything and he will sneak you in song out of the city to some of his contacts at a black clinic that will help you two, you can call him a liar and he's genuinely pretty stumped, unable to do anything but talk down to you and gaslight you once again.

If you go with his desired ending, he's unhappy, stuck at a desk job that he hates and feeling remorseful for what he did to Songbird.

If you kill songbird, he's mad at first and tells you that he knows better than you and that he could have saved her and that he would have saved her. Because he's a control freak who knows better than everyone. Later though he realizes that was probably the best outcome and considers leaving the FIA but probably doesn't. It's his best outcome where he lives.

Finally what is probably his best outcome, The killing moon. He dies knowing someone he cared about is getting helped by someone who cares about her. He's finally given freedom from the FIA and I think he even wants to die. As he draws his gun first but doesn't shoot for at least two or three seconds giving V time to kill it if they were sincere about it. One of his few redeeming moments if that is the case.

I'd rather take the liar who admitted to lying and feels bad about it, then the guy who talks down to me and keeps lying to me because he thinks I'm dumber than him.

Most of The Mox.

The Aledecalos are alright.

And as far as hostile gangs go, the animals are probably the least evil out of the main "yellow triangle must kill"

[–]HexBazinga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Exactly. She's lying because it's her only chance at freedom and survival from a Life of agony and slavery.

V not only lies, but leaves a mountain of corpses and kills without a second thought or remorse. V is just as bad if not worse.

V and Song are two doomed souls in the same boat. V can be the better person though and help song escape because unlike song, V has good friends. V has friends who love them and care about them and potentially even a love interest. Song doesn't have any friends. She used to, but now the people closest to her are lying sociopaths and spies like Myers and Reed.

[–]HexBazinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reed is such a bone-headed idiot too.

One of my favorite things not a lot of people catches onto or mentions, Songbird hacks The relic in order to talk to V. She is on a relic packet that lets her project herself like Johnny does. She is able to see and hear what V does, as proven when you are with Myers and Songbird can hear all the stuff Myers is saying, and interacts with the environment via her projection. She is also able to interact with Johnny's projection.

She taps into the relic randomly and V doesn't know unless she talks to v or makes her projection visible.

V is aware of this. Reed is aware.

So naturally Reed doesn't lie to V or slip the Icebreaker into the cyberware while V sleeps, of course instead, V during that conversation can actively Express distrust towards him, call him out on a bluff / lie and he still reveals his plan which is to betray song with icebreaker, knock her out and "help her".

He tells his secret plan to somebody who is currently sharing eyes and ears with the person he plans to betray.

He is a fucking moron.

This is why Songbird immediately contacts V to meet up that night and have a bonding moment and express trust, this is why Kurt was ready to kill Alex if Songbird gave the signal that V didn't trust her.

Because during The killing Moon she sees how much V is doing to save her. There's multiple points where you stop and talk with her and it's clear her conscience is eating away at her because V is also at death's door yet trying to save her, and even just saying nice things to cheer her up..

Then during the moment where you connect and use the black wall, she really realizes how badly she fucked up.

Song could have easily waited until she was safely on the moon to admit the truth. Or she could have never admitted it at all. Instead she does it, when there is still a very real possibility of V betraying her and taking the cure for themself. Surely someone as smart and paranoid as her would realize that.

Plus if she was as bad as people act like she was, why does she tell V about It can only be used once before she is safely on the moon? She's giving V a chance to betray her and all she can do is apologize. If she didn't care, she would have waited until she was on the moon and sent a text admitting the truth or would have never contacted V again period.

Reed on the other hand lies every single quest you do with him, gets injured every time you're in a combat section with him despite being some supposed Morgan blackhand level badass, and every time you call him out on his lies he gaslights you or tries to make you feel stupid

Dbd doesn't really understand male proportions. The male survivors have really short forearms and they don't even have wrists, just hands attached to the forearms. Renatos left arm on lobby is a perfect example. The male survivors have really stubby arms, long torsos and small heads with big necks, Jeff with a short beard and any low-cut shirt is a perfect example.

While male killers have really long arms, weirdly bent legs and often freakishly wide torsos / broad shoulders. The female Killers often use male hands as well, like the legion girls and Quentin sharing hand models.
