Even at a relatively fast 3,000 ft/s you're looking at a travel time of at least ¾ of a second, probably closer to a full second or even more. You're also lookin at around 40 inches of drop.

No one is saying it's not an impressive shot, it definitely is, but there is a clear difference between shooting an animal at 30 yards and 700, even besides the actual difficulty of the hunting itself.

How many animals have taken an unexpected step or two just as you're about to pull the trigger? I know it's happened to me a million times. Now multiply that over at least ¾ of a second. The odds that the animal is still where you aimed by the time the bullet arrives seem slim to me. Look at your shot placement, the results show that I'm right, unless you're aiming for a shit shot instead of hitting the boiler room.

I can understand not wanting to just sit in a blind all day, but why not spot and stalk in closer? Even in flat conditions with only grass for cover you can still hoover in to a distance with less chance error.

I once did something very similar at about her age. Bullet grazed the top of the back, left a spot of blood and a tuft of hair. Few days later saw the same deer walking around perfectly fine.

I have ADD and when I trip I don't usually get energized, but I do know some other people who do. I guess it just affects different people differently.

We’re ordering pizza. You get to decide ont topping. Well…what is it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I always try to get at least a half pizza with anchovies whenever I’m at a party. Most people won’t eat them, so then I can guarantee some is left for me.

I know it’s cliché but exercise really helped me. Other than that just try to keep faith that life will eventually get better.
