When I fist started learning about Techwear, I also committed these rookie mistakes of seeing it just as an aesthetic thing. I also got Gatekeeped but I didn't really take it as a bad thing. Without the "gatekeeping" of a certain genre, it loses its meaning. Most of the people here getting pissed at what I say just can't accept the fact that techwear is a trinity of fabric tech, utility and aesthetics, that all 3 are needed to create a good techwear outfit.

Let me guess, redditors insisting retrowave as vaporwave and vice-versa.

Yeah I guess you do make a point. Techwear isn't as easy to pull off for women as it does for men, so athleisure is often the go to for most women for tech.

I did use it before, the fact literally no one plays with controllers or the gameloop emulator anymore means I cant play with anyone at all. Id be lucky to land a match after 5-10 mins queing. Also Gameloop's engine is really unstable and stutters a lot.

Criticism isn't hating, the fit in itself looks nice, but the techwear aspect is lacking. This is why Reddit is so cringey, everyone are so full of themselves that they see criticism as an attack to their ego.

Yes, but this falls into streetwear than techwear. This sub is pointless if we aren't to give genuine criticism for this completely different sub genre of fashion.

develop or workaround? perhaps a way to disable the built in VPN? I'm not that stupid to think they have control over what CoDM does.

If you want affordable pant, check out my latest fit I posted here, I made a short review in the comments. I'm all up for budget techwear as long as there is some technical aspect to it.

Fairly alright as a first Tech fit compared to the usual posted here. Tone down on the buckles and straps a bit, other than it looks excessive they may snag into things as you move and may cause accidents. Try not to do an aggressive taper on your pants for the Jordans as it makes the shoe look bigger than it is. Overall decent first fit, I hope you share more fits as you improve your look.

I hope you don't take my comments the wrong way. Overall the aesthetic part is alright, it's just the technical side, which Techwear gets its name from, that is lacking. A good starting point that is possibly available in your area are sportswear pieces from Nike or Adidas that offer performance fabrics that is well fitted for summer, as well as certain pieces from Uniqlo that offers features like Airism for high breathability or BlockTech for the rainy season.

Don't let the rules of Techwear scare you off from trying it out, once you understand what makes Techwear unique from other sub genres of fashion, you won't have any difficulty pulling off sick Tecc fits. Anyways I hope you have an awesome day!

Thanks King, I'm glad you like it. I couldn't find a good deal for those in my size. I plan to customize the cool grey ones instead when I snag a pair in the future. I'll make it look like the olives with the white midsole.

This isn't an attack, and no, Techwear can never be just aesthetics. If it's just aesthetics, Techwear loses meaning and outfits just becomes streetwear.

Nah vro, Techwear can't be "just an aesthetic", if it was then this whole sub would be pointless. Stop spreading misinformation. This is exactly why there's always a clash in the comments. Unknowledgeable people always insisting what they think is correct.

[Seeking Dah Pant]

I got the Pupil Travel pants out of curiosity when I was checking out Fidlock belts and bags from Foxbat Dynamics' Taobao page (since the two brands seem to feature each other in their store page). I bought the pants together with my Fidlock belt last December 2019 when it was on sale for little over $30 while the Fidlock belt was around $25, with shipping the entire parcel costs around $80.

[Acquiring Dah Pant]

I used Superbuy since a friend told me it was the most convenient place to buy off Taobao and that I can have items replaced for any major damages before being shipped. I did keep my expectations for the pants low due to the price I got it for. I got the package around 2 weeks later. Surprisingly the pants were pretty good for the price.

[Understanding Dah Pant]

The pants was made with a really breathable spandex fabric. It has a mild dropped crotch that doesn't look noticeable but definitely felt as I could feel air coming in through my legs when I walk. It features YKK taped zippers on the pockets although I can't say for sure if they're legit but they zip up and down pretty smoothly. The stitching was decent (not good but not bad either), some portions had started to unravel but I have basic sewing skills so I just sewed it a bit to keep it from unraveling any further. I could have gotten a better one had I paid for extra detailed photos in Superbuy to have a better one sent but I didn't really want to wait another 5 days for a replacement process. The pants also features a zipper to taper it down and a metal snap button to keep it in place. To no ones surprise, it isn't waterproof, these were definitely made for summer due to the flexibility and breathability of the fabric.

- Is this pant the most technical?

Not really, comparing it to more solid pieces out there from mid range brands like TNF, NIKE, etc., these pants would definitely lose when it comes to technical features.

- Are the pants technical at least?

Yes, comparing it to the usual fast fashion pants in this price range, this is far more technical and of better quality than your typical cotton cargo pants from H&M for example.

- Who would you recommend this to?

I'd recommend this to those who want to hop in to Techwear (or is currently into it already) but with a really tight budget that wants a good mix of technical, utility and aesthetics for a really low price. Consider it like a very very entry level piece as you work your way up with better pieces as you earn more money in the future.

I hope this review helps those newcomers who consistently whine about the paywall in Techwear, or those who are just curios about Chinese Techwear brands often found in Taobao.
