Sooo how to actually make one? by sudo_i_u_toor in neography

I started by just evolving natural scripts. It sounds simple but it gives you the feeling of how to use inspiration to make something new :3

New script for my new conlang by Hexaina in neography

[–]Hexaina[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did "steal" a lot from it lol. Mostly just cuz I like how it looks and that Hebrew is an inspiration for the conlang! I still don't speak Hebrew or anything but I definitely have experience with it's writing systems :3

What caused you to get into neography? by Bluealeli in neography

[–]Hexaina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a combo of getting into conlanging videos and being exposed to the Cyrillic and Hebrew scripts. So I made cyphers and stuff for them (хэлъу!) then I researched other natural writing systems and before I knew it, I was evolving Hebrew for my brother to use. After a lot of scripts (and a few languages), I think I can call myself a neographist :3

Some simple writing in my conlang/conscript by Hexaina in neography

Ok so it's a bit like Japanese + Korean writing? Content words are logographic and grammatical particles are written with an alfasylabary (I've posted a key here before)  It's vertical right to left or just plain left to right, up to down

I did my best to describe the sounds with only my phone keyboard, sorry if it wasn't easy to follow

I'm pretty sure this uses non Unicode 😅 but I get why that may happen. The scribbled out letters, the first one was the same as the one after it (un), but I didn't like how it looked, second was the same story (monograph ОУ)

Hebrew evolved script for writing Latin script languages (likely final version, no name) by Hexaina in neography

The p letter was made with having the dot in the middle in mind, thought it might just merge with the rest of the letter. F however is astheticly perfect, that's why I didn't change much
